Glide Set - Universal Fit - Makes Walker Use Easier and Safer on All Surfaces (2 Pack)

I've used a walker for several years, and have tried MANY options for the back feet. I wore through tennis balls in a matter of weeks, if not days, and most "glides" also wore down pretty quickly. The Walker Buddies aren't cheap at $20+, but after 9 months, I'm more than sold, and have finally stopped wasting money trying to find something that works - these do, very well, both indoors and outside. The visible black balls simply protect the walls and moulding in your house from damage, but the real key is the VERY heavy-duty white nylon sliders on the bottom. In 9 months, I've only worn them down less than 1/16th inch, and have over 1/4" left. I found them very easy to assemble, and they've NEVER come apart. I suspect that most of the low-star ratings complaining about "falling apart" were never put together correctly in the first place. It's true, they may not fit all walker legs, but if yours fall into the 1" to 1 1/8" range that their "question section" states, BUY THEM - you'll be happy you did.

I was blowing through tennis balls plus they picked up massive amounts of dog hair and got filthy very quickly. These glide smoothly across any surface and are easy to clean. Have lasted for 1-1/2 years so far and still look good.

Whenever I bought walker skis(I have bought at leat 10), if I happen to touch the tip, it would eventually fall off. They have often become useless without that tip. Also the would be difficult to put on and off a walker. I was amazed that these were easy to put on my walker. So far, they are great. I haven't had any trouble, but watch out for rugs. You may have to lift your walker over them

I've had this glide set for only a few days, but I like them already. Installing them was a little different, but easy, and I find them amusing because they look like miniature bowling balls on the back legs of my walker. Fortunately, they are soft, so when I bump into something, or kick them, as I am prone to do, nothing is marked or hurt. These gliders glide perfectly, and help with balance, but they are not exactly what I call quiet. Nevertheless, a good purchase.

These replaced the use of tennis balls. The balls lasted a month or so, even on carpet floors. Cement and Asphalt didn't last a week. But these things are still going strong after 3 months. I think the bumpers might be oversized, but that doesn't effect anything. Easy to install. Quiet. Lightweight. Non-marring.

If I could give a negative 1 star I would. It is ridiculous to expect an elderly disabled person to be able to install these. There was no way on earth I could get the "boot" apart and I tried for several minutes. Not everyone has family or someone they can get to help and nowhere in the description do you say you need an engineering degree to use these.

I just recently started using a folding walker and I received one with the little skies in the back. Pain in the fanny! They hooked onto everything in site. Any low hanging cords or rugs were a constant challenge! Tried the tennis balls, and they soon became frayed on the bottoms when used outdoors. Got these walker buddezz and the problems with using a walker became much easier. Easy to install. They work well indoors as well as outdoors. Now if I could get my family to keep the kids toys and dogs outta of my way. I'd be a happy camper. Also would recommend the swivel wheels with the wheel locks to add on the walker. It makes maneuvering much easier and is still lite weight.

This is my 10th set of glides for my walker in less than a year.....and they have failed too :( I'm so sad, I really thought these would be "the ones", but alas they only lasted a little over 2 weeks. I do a lot of walking outside with my walker and have been looking for a year for something that will make it longer than a month. These looked so sturdy but already one side just disappeared through where the bottom little white bottom is!! :( the other side (which is strange because that is my weak side, so I lean more on that side) it still looking good. Would be nice if they at least offered replacement bottoms because the rest of it is still holding up nicely. UPDATE: I contacted the seller to see if they had a separate white bottom that seems to have disappeared from mine. The response was extremely fast, which is a HUGE plus, But the answer was "no, we don't have extras" *sigh* ok, but just added another fail to my search for the best glider. I'm not paying another $20 just for the little white bottom. I would have paid for a replacement piece, but not another entire set. Someday I just might get to leave that awesome review for some lucky company. :(
