Q: How do you preserve this for future use. Mine dried up after about 6 months. I don't use it regularly. Is there a secret for preserving it?

Try putting some Dow Corning 111 silicone grease (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00CTUJNU2/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&th=1) around the cap after it's sealed. It will keep air and water out, will stay in place, and is easy to wipe off when you need to use the epoxy again. It's food grade so you can use your bare finger to spread it around the cap.
