Q: How many gallons does it hold exactly?

Designed to hold slightly more than 1.5 gallons. But you do not fill mich more than a gallon. It works well. Love the compact design.

Q: is this a 2 piece minnow bucket. so i can pull inside out and put in water

Depends how you see it. To me this would be a three piece, plastic bucket, insulation container where the fish swims and the lid with pump. You can separate all of those items for cleaning, adding water or fish. You can also add water or fish without having to remove the lid completely from the bucket.

Q: How long do the batteries last on a full charge? Or a new set of AA batteries?

I would jus rip out the cheesy $2 pump they put in.... Search Amazon for a rechargeable like I did $15 and you have an option for 10 sec on, 10 sec off to conserve battery and it fits in that compartment like a glove
