I am in love with this vacuum! I couldn’t resist not naming it, so it’s name is Vampire, because it sucks. Hahahaha! Vampire does exactly what I was hoping! Years ago I bought one of the first generation robotic vacuums and it was an awful experience. It seemed like one of the lost boys, bumped into everything and couldn’t find its way around. Went in some wacky patterns and never did hit everywhere, so it went back. I was reluctant to get another fearing the same results.Vampire definitely stepped it up in all expectations! Not only does this one hit all areas but some I didn’t think it would! I am taken back at how far technology has come and that it’s not just one company that has the market one these now! Half the price and you get a terrific little sucker! Also if you have a 2 story house, it will store both floors in the programming. You just have to carry it from each floor and let it do the cleaning! Don’t want it to go in the kid’s bedroom and suck up toys? Set a no-go zone (in red on my map) and it won’t go there. I set up several on my map.Here’s what I love: Vampire can go from my hardwood floors to my area rug with ease and get all the dog hair well. What’s really cool is at first, Vampire leaves the dock and goes to the first area and does the perimeter. Then does S lines inside that perimeter. The bristles on the front extend beyond the front to grab dust bunnies and pull them in, getting under areas like the tv cabinet it’s traveling in front of. Very cool! Then off to the next area and repeat. It moves from area to area repeating the same pattern. It talks! When it’s done it lets you know it’s heading back to the dock and it’s charging. Good little Vampire! The mobile app is very nice also! I can set up no-go areas where I don’t want it to go, like my bedroom where I have shaggier carpet, I can schedule it to vacuum nightly at a specific time, watch where it is on the map in real time from my lazy spot on the couch, pause it when it sucks up a cat toy that got stuck or to empty the catch bin. Which leads me to my things I don’t like...Things I don’t like: The dust trap is small. The one things that could be a little bigger, it would be 100% perfect, but I’ll take this to be the one thing to over look because this is the only thing I don’t like. About mid way, I have to pause it, empty it, then resume. I have 5 dogs and 4 birds and I get a lot of fur and bird dander so I run this nightly. And I still can fill this mid way.As far as Alexa, the app does it all. All Alexa would do is for you to tell her to start cleaning. You have to try and add the app to Alexa which doesn’t want to download and it’s honestly a waste of time. The app is wonderful and super easy!!!!Some people say it’s noisy but honestly it’s not as noisy as a stand up vacuum and if you can’t hear your tv, turn up the tv volume. It’s not that bad. I hate to vacuum and this is the best investment I’ve made yet in my house!!! I don’t write long reviews but this deserves it! I wouldn’t want to try the expensive one especially since this one is hands down really awesome, fun to watch and sucks well at its job!

Vacuum and attachments do a great job! The machine is super light weight and easy to get around the house quickly and efficiently. The attachments and hand held option with extension and brush are great at cleaning under cushions and furniture and makes dusting super easy. I really like the quick trash depositing as well. I should have bought this a long time ago.

I'm nervous about writing this review. We had another robot vacuum (starts with an sh and ends with ark) that I absolutely loved, but once it hit that year mark when the item would no longer be covered under warranty, it quit working. I tried everything. All the tips and tricks I could find. Nothing worked. It was nothing more than a large paperweight, sitting in our dining room. Side note: Companies need to give an option for turning off cliff sensors. Not everyone needs them. Anyway, I contemplated not even getting another one, but we have an Anatolian Shepherd/Hound mix and he sheds like I've never seen a dog shed. I could sweep and sweep and sweep. All he has to do is move ever so slightly and it's raining hair. Having a robot vacuum really helps keep up with it all. I started researching and this brand came out on top. I took a deep breath and ordered.It arrived quickly and packaged well. When I say well, I mean it. I think, in total, it was 3 different boxes I had to open to finally see, what I hoped to be, a long term cleaning buddy. Once I got it removed from its container, I found it a home. I downloaded the app, paired to wifi, got everything set up and connected it to our Alexa. It was simple and flawless. I then let it do its mapping. We are only using it on the main floor so it won't be used elsewhere as the only other area is a basement (underground) and it's not finished. I figured it was going to take a while so I headed downstairs to start some laundry and put some stuff away. Imagine my surprise when my Apple Watch alerted me to the fact that 15 minutes in, it was done. What?? My last one took almost 2 hours to map the 970 square feet that is our main living area. I went back upstairs and stared at it, baffled. Looking at my phone with the open app, I set up a schedule for cleaning and went about the rest of my day.That evening (I have it set up for 5:30pm) I heard a strange voice and almost jumped out of my chair. Our dog barked, the cats scattered. Feeling panicked because I am home alone at the moment, I clutched my chest and peered around the corner. It was just the vacuum telling me it was starting to clean. I let out a breath. I hadn't expected that. My last one only talked when she was telling me why she couldn't vacuum, which in the end, was every time she turned on. I watched carefully. It went around the outer edge of the entire house, hitting every room, then came back and went back and forth until it was satisfied it had covered every spot. Then it told me it was done and was going back home. Huh.After using it for a few days, I checked the bag. Wow! It definitely picked up more than our last one did. I could have made a whole new dog with what was in there. I don't love that it isn't bagless though but I can deal with that. The app is easy to use but unlike our last one, you can't name the cleaner. Gimmicky, but I kinda liked being able to do that. Not a huge deal because cleaning wise, it's amazing. I still can't get over how much hair it picked up. I showed my husband and he was impressed. Well, after first wondering why I was showing him a pile of our dogs hair.It's pretty quiet when vacuuming but when it empties, you can definitely hear it. That doesn't last long though so not something that bothers anyone. I guess it also mops but I honestly have zero intention of using that. We only have one area in our house that has waterproof flooring so I prefer to do that myself. I get why this brand is highly rated. I love it already but because my heart was broken by another, I'm still feeling nervous. I can't help it. The last one let me down and I'm really hoping for longevity this time around. My fingers are crossed.....
