ミニマルなキャンプや野営シチュエーションでも対応できそう。ぶら下げたり、ベルトに通して完全固定したりと重宝するシース。サイズといい、バランスといい携行性抜群。実用面も指のかかる部分の処理に考え抜かれた工夫が〇。また、防錆コートされた全体、プラ製持ち手カバーの外観は頼りにできますナ。

刃も鋭く、コンパクトの割には十分使える

モノはとてもいいです。パッカーンみたいな薪割りは広葉樹では無理です。バトニング用だと思います。

刃が薄いため薪を割るというよりは削るためのものですね。カバーが付属しているものの出し入れしにくく、怪我しそうになるので防刃グローブの着用をオススメします。

ソロキャンプをする友人にプレゼントしたのですが重さや大きさが丁度良いらしくかなり喜んでもらえました。

軽く持ちやすく扱いやすい手斧…と書くと良いことづくめな印象だが、実際のところはそうでもない。何故ならフルタング構造のために重量が斧全体に分散されているからだ。 当たり前の話だが、重量が分散されているということは斧の刃に本来必要とされる重みが集中しておらず、薪に向かって斧を振り下ろす際の遠心力も小さく軽くなってしまう。故に、斧の軽さをカバーするだけの腕力が必要になる。すっぽ抜け注意である。 また、本製品の厚みは柄に近い部分でも僅か5.5㎜に過ぎず、刃はそこから更に薄くなっている。小枝を払う程度の目的ならばまだしも、これでは薪を割るには不向きと言わざるを得ない。 この製品は言わば、斧の形をしたナイフのようなもので、下手をすれば厚めの刃を持ったナイフでバトニングしたほうが早く丁寧に薪を割れるくらいだ。そんな斧に石でも打ち付けてバトニングするくらいなら、少し出費が嵩んでも普通の手斧を買った方が良い選択になると思う。 ついでに言うと、この手斧は箱出しではフェザースティックを作ることが出来ないくらい刃が付いていない。良い斧になればナイフが要らないくらいのフェザーが作れるし、バトニングに優れたナイフなら逆に斧が要らなくなる。（無論腕前も必要だが） そういう意味では、この手斧はどっちつかずの中途半端な代物だろう。付属のシースも柄頭を先に突っ込んで刃側に封をするという変わった仕様だし…まあ、突っ込み処満載の逸品であることは間違いない。 というか、斧状の刃の広がりが無い時点で「叩き割る」用途には不向きなように思う。

大きさ見た目は良い。 大きい薪は割りにくい。 ノコギリとかでカットした後ならいける。

Purchased this to put into our vehicles overlanding kit. It is a very solid (heavy) little axe, and will work great for those times we need to use it. Solid construction, feels like it could do some damage if handled improperly. Love that it comes with what feels like a very sturdy cover for the blade. Would recommend it is a fantastic find for the price.

This feels and looks like a quality product. The size is nice, not too overpowering, but perfect for what I intend to use if for--chopping little branches and making a little fuel for a fire. I like that it has a holster as much for blade protection as for possibly carrying it on my belt. Nice that I have the option, but I am not the mountain man type so carrying it in a pack, or packing it in the car works just fine. However, if I need to or if there is a space crunch on a back pack trip I have the option to wear it, pack it, or lash it.

Surprised at how well this performed. This was gifted to our son for backpacking trips. It’s a great starter or beater tool.

Appears durable and feels sturdy and able to control. Usage and time will tell if it will last. Disappointed that Gerber outsourced to China so that is why I question the quality and durability of the steel. GERBER really has lost reputation having products manufactured in China.

This is lightweight, big enough for small chopping tasks but small enough to be very conveniently carried on your belt or in a pack. It does come quite sharp but if you have sharpening equipment and skills you could improve on the edge. It gives really good grip when using it for small chopping tasks but I always recommend wearing gloves for better grip and safety purposes. It has a lanyard hole at the end of the handle. I recommend adding some paracord for additional grip. Wrap it around your hand and the hatchet will not twist when in use. This tool is actually quite concealable but I would change the way that it sits in the sheath that comes with it for that. Some people would prefer carrying something like this rather than a knife. Good quality product. Has a black head, etc. This is on the Brown handled model. The Green one comes with an acid wash head. I like this product I may even buy the Green model as well.
