I bought this for taming the auto drain on a air compressor. Thought it might make the blast every few minutes more tolerable. It’s just a hollow fitting with some screen behind the slots. Pretty pricey for something with no internal baffle. Updated to add a star, noise reduction is better than my first impressions but still not great.

I expected a little more reduction in noxious gas from the drill blower supplement but all in all ok.

It is a silencer all right so long as you have a TOOL that requires it. Seller is not at all honest. STAY AWAY>
