Where's Waldo Now?

This book is a great way to stimulate children to describe all the little things they're seeing. The drawings are extremely detailed. To my surprise, our 2 1/2 year-old was able to find Waldo in many of the pics :)

Must have for all Where's Waldo fans. This arrived promptly despite coming from overseas. My kids have loved the Where's Waldo books for many years now. This is just a great addition to their book collection. Brilliant!

The book fits wonderfully in a handbag and saves a short meeting or a bit too long sit in the car.

I would classify this book as good because it is intact but it had a lot of pressure marks all over the cover....

With just 6 scenes to light up with the glow-in-the-dark slider, this is an expensive addition to the Wally collection, but you do know that your kids will enjoy it and spend time searching, as always. All the scenes are darkened, and you'll need the attached spotlight 'magic torch' to illuminate the scenes a section at a time to find the hidden objects and people. As usual we are to search for Wally and Wenda, Odlaw, the Wizard and Woof, and their usual objects. This time being 'spooky' for Halloween, pumpkins are also on our checklist. A Halloween theme, it's ghostly pirate ships, monsters, vampire parties - all scenes from previous books, so children might feel a little short-changed if they recall them from other volumes. For each page, there are half a dozen things to find with the slider in the hidden picture, and on the opposite page an additional puzzle and item to spot. It isn't a lot, but it's well put together and shorter than a usual Wally book to complete (whether or not this is a good thing is up to you to decide). Handford's artwork is, as ever, exquisitely detailed and full of humour. You could look at the scenes for hours at all the details, facial expressions, mini-stories within the pages. This is a lovely hardback edition, great quality. The torch when removed, gives a website where you can download more of them. It comes out easily with a removable sticker. For a Wally enthusiast, this will be a definite 'must' for Christmas. It may not be the best book to start with for a Wally novice though, with just six scenes. A great gimmick, will be enjoyed by readers of 6 and over. With thanks to Walker Books for providing a sample reading copy.

This is a such a cute book! 📕 my son loves I spy books so I bought him a where’s Waldo Halloween themed book for his boo basket and he was so excited! The book is good quality and it’s a very fun activity for the kids. Great price too! Shipped on time and fast very impressed :)

Excelente! Me acuerdo de estos libros cuando niño y para Navidad quise regalarle uno a mi cuñado, que no los había nunca visto pero que había oído de ellos por nosotros. Pues bien, lo recibió y le ha encantado! Inmediatamente se puso a buscar a Waldo y su pandilla y ahora es adicto de ellos, como es natural! Compré la versión en tapa blanda, por no añadirles mucho peso en las valijas, y debo decir que no hay nada de que qué quejarse sobre esta versión. Por el precio, es casi un regalo en sí. Y la calidad interior es excelente; me arriesgo a decir que debe ser igual la calidad interior de la versión de tapa dura. Dicho esto, si se quiere tener una colección de estos libros que dure años y años, merece la pena invertir en la versión de tapa dura. Este de aquí es el primer libro de todos los que salieron. He visto que hay colecciones y recopilaciones de aniversario, pero yo quise ir por el original, por el mismo que fue el primero que disfruté de niño. Dicho esto, hay que saber que esta no es la versión primerísima, aquella que salió en los 80s, sino aquella que fue posteriormente revisada por el autor en los 90s. Muchos habrán incluso crecido con esta segunda versión, pero los que hayan tenido los libros en los 80s sabrán que en ellos solo había que buscar a Walfo y más nada. Pues, en esta versión revisada están también los otros personajes para buscar; cosa que en mí opinión no le quita nada, sino más bien le agrega más diversión. Mencionaré, además, para evitar confusiones que a veces se tienen con estos libros, que Where's Waldo? y Where's Wally? se tratan ambos de exactamente los mismos libros, es solo el nombre del personaje principal que cambia según el país. En efecto, Wally era el nombre original, dado por el autor, que es británico. Este se convirtión en Waldo en los EEUU. Yo leí de niño los libros americanos y es por eso que he preferido ir por el que para mí fue clásico.
