Of course I can’t say it is a good as pure vanilla but it is a great value and good for cooking especially. It’s quite a big bottle too. It’s a deep brown like any vanilla extract. I trust McCormick as a brand. The top with the cap works very well and you do get vanilla flavor. I put 3 short spurts into a very large smoothie for two and the vanilla flavor was overpowering. So it has a kick, lol. For what it is, I give it 5 stars.

Great vanilla at a very reasonable price.

As a baker, I often buy this product. The price is great for the value. It smells awesome and it adds great flavor to my deserts.

Taking a look at a physical grocery store's price for artificial "imitation" vanilla, it's wild. My local store wants over $5 per ounce! But you can get the exact same stuff in bulk for much cheaper online. Check below for information on imitation vs. natural vanilla extract! This artificial vanilla extract tastes the same as the in-store McCormick imitation vanilla, but is a whole lot cheaper. I paid about $9 for my bottle in 2023, and I'm still using it. I bake about once or twice a week, and most of my recipes use vanilla. The difference between artificial and natural vanilla extract is important. Imitation vanilla is still the vanilla molecule, just made using science. But it doesn't have the extra advanced floral notes and flavor of vanilla from the plant. This makes it seem like natural vanilla would be better for everything, but that's incorrect! Why? Because artificial vanilla is stronger, and it survives heat, such as an oven. Natural vanilla will evaporate when exposed to heat, reducing its flavor by a lot. But if you are making something that doesn't get exposed to heat, natural vanilla is better. Baked goods = Artificial vanilla Non-baked goods = Natural vanilla

Cheap alternative to regular vanilla but tastes the same! I love it & can’t beat the price on subscribe & save! I transfer it to a glass bottle since the bottle it comes in tends to leak (I prefer to store things in glass anyway so it’s fine) but other than that it’s great! The color & baking ability is the same as normal vanilla!
