Save time and stress!!
Worked out great on transmission line disconnect from the radiator! Way better than a plastic one. I tried using the plastic first and it keep bending and flexing out of shape and would hold to release. This one had the both lines off in a couple of minutes. Good buy for the money. Thank you.

Did Good for my 2012 Ford Fusion Transmission Cooler Line
Little difficult to get into place as my cooler line was rusted out but wasn’t too difficult! Worked good once I got it into place.

Did Not Work for Me on 2003 Ford
Did not work for me during Radiator replacement on my 03 Expedition. Hard to align around transmission lines and may have been the source of damage to the nylon locking ring. Had to replace the Transmission Oil Cooler fitting. Using a "39220 Transmission Oil Cooler Line Disconnect Tools " to remove the line. Then wrapping it around the line when reseating into the Cooler giving me a better grip and control when reseating it. Throwing the OEM tool in the trash so I will never think about using it again. The scissor-like hinge misaligns and does not give a flat surface to push in the disengage the lock ring and you are only pushing against one side. This chants the tool and only disengages one side of the locking ring which can push it into the fitting.

No, you cannot disconnect the lines without the right tools. No, the ones at the autopart shop are not just as good. No, the plastic ones will not be fine. Just buy the high quality single use tool and save time and the string of expletives that will leave your mouth if you don't. If you are on the fence about whether you need this or not, you do.
