Need a budget camera? THIS IS IT
Honestly, for the price, this camera can't be beat... Combine this with the SIGMA 18-50mm F2.8 RF mount lens and it's a great combo for vlogging, recording, and even filming cinematic shots. The CLOG/CGamut color profiles do great in edit to save highlights when filming, and the auto-focus eye/face tracking hasn't lost tracking yet. I wasn't sure if this camera or another one for our purposes (like a Panasonic Lumix, or Sony)... but this has been GREAT. If you're saying to yourself "I need the best budget camera and lens combo that will level up my quality" then this is the camera you need. I only say that with the pairing of the specific lens I use. I also have an ND Filter for it, and a super fast SD Card... While the stabilization isn't great, that's really a minute point and shouldn't deter you from getting this.. find a way to keep it steady HA! It also takes great photos... I added those to the review. Fairly easy to use if you take the time to learn the menu. And the size for vlogging with the vertical mount option is great. Unless your wanting to spend over $1000 just for a camera body, get this camera/lens combo.

Great Video Camera
Has lots of features for video. It is a crop frame, but it serves my video needs. I have a full-frame camera for photography. This is lightweight, very versatile, and portable. There is no IBIS, but it does have digital stabilization. The DS makes the images a bit more fluid, but not as good as a stabilizer. I have a 3-axis gimbal, so the lack of stabilization is not a big issue for me. Overall, its a great addition for content creators videos.

Great camera for the price !
This has been a fantastic starter camera. I love how I can download the pictures to the cannon app right to my phone and edit color in the app.

Best value
I wish it had IBIS but for the price point, the electronic stabilization + kit lens stabilization is quite good. Audio and video quality are excellent. This camera is so light and small. Easy to haul around. I am afraid that it’s too light and could break easily but I’m careful. Menus are a bit oversimplified. It’s not horrible but I don't see the point of it when the regular menu system works fine.

Great for Beginners
If you are thinking about moving up from an R100, I would recommend it. I originally purchased the R100 and returned it for this. It has a ton of more features, and the R50V's video capabilities are even more powerful than the regular R50 with 4K 60fps cropped or 30fps uncropped. You don't get a viewfinder, but the touch screen is versatile and I haven't had a problem using outdoors. Battery life is solid, also if using as webcam it stays powered thru USB-C. Very easy to switch camera modes in the menu even though there's only one image mode on the dial. The V body is more sleek, so putting a pancake lens on would make it very easy to travel with. You won't be disappointed!

Small but mighty
This little gem works perfectly for what I need.. small, well was until I put a cage and all the accessories on it but over all love the CLog setting and 4K recording.

Do better.
Really, nothing special as a camera. The plastic body is low-quality, but I guess that is why it is so lightweight. At best, it's a solid webcam, but I'd say the lack of manual user options is probably why I would rate it so low. Ui on the camera is buggy and laggy, lots of issues, save your coins

Was very hopeful for this camera to replace my iPhone videography shooting pets indoors & outdoors. However, the kit lens is quite inadequate in low light, also outdoor shooting emphasizes shadow. Just too dark. Tested with 50mm F1.8 lens is much better, but still darker pictures than with my older EF40mm using RF-EF adapter. Maybe a firmware issue, but no time to wait before return window closes. May try again in a few months time.
