Universal Beach Umbrella Anchor, White, 10 in

When I first unpackaged the Beachr and held it, gently, I could feel a calming warmth flowing through my hands and traveling over my body. I knew immediately, this was not your usual umbrella anchor. I knew I needed to go to bed early, so I could wake and watch the sunrise from the beach. I gently folded my beach towel around the Beachr and placed it in my backpack for the morning trip. After lying down in my bed, I could still feel the calming warmth of the Beachr in my hands. That night provided me with perhaps the best sleep of my life. My dreams were comforting, with visions of rare elecorns (elephants with unicorn horns and tie-dyed skin color) that danced in the surf, spraying beautiful, blue seawater upon each other in merriment. When I arrived at the beach, just before dawn, and removed my Beachr from my backpack, I felt not only the calming warmth of the night before, but a gentle tug, pulling me to a part of the beach of where I had never been. I grabbed my backpack and followed the Beachr around a rocky bend, to reveal the most beautiful sandy beach I had ever seen, devoid of seaweed and dead sea creatures. After walking 20yds or so, the Beachr pulled my hand down to the sand and I knew, this was the spot for my umbrella. The Beachr screwed into the sand as if it were greased with virgin olive oil. I fastened the umbrella, opened it, and heard the faint sound of wind chimes. I knew the sun would be rising soon and as I removed my T-Shirt, the Beachr bathed my body in a Golden Light and sang beatiful chords of music that could come from no less than a thousand person choir.

I purchased this beach umbrella anchor because it was reviewed as the best. It was very easy to screw into the sand and my umbrella stayed firmly in he opening once it was tightened into place. It worked great for me on a mildly windy day at the beach. Set up was fast and easy.

I have some older beach umbrellas where the bottom of the pole broke. Or they have a very narrow sand screw that doesn't hold well in high winds. These solved all of those problems and allowed the umbrellas to be usable again. I did not have any of them pull out of the sand during high winds using these so they seem pretty good upon first use.However, I have concerns the plastic set screw will survive long term with all that pressure from the umbrella put upon it.Minor usability issue - I find it difficult to install these perfectly vertically as they're so short. I finally figured out to start them, get them screwed in maybe 1/3 of the way, then insert just the bottom half of the umbrella into them so I have something to help guide my alignment as I continue to screw them fully into the sand.

We lost our umbrella holder last year and were scrambling last minute to order a new one. This one was great! Easy to set up and held great in the sand despite windy beach days! Product seems durable. No issues after a week of use. Will buy again if this one gets lost :)

I really hemmed and hawed over spending $20 on an umbrella anchor because I like to keep things simple at the beach and carry nothing more than a towel, a book and water. This summer, I decided I needed an umbrella so I could find some shade throughout the day so I didn't burn out after the first hour. The umbrella was a great idea and this sand anchor is a must. Digging the umbrella into the sand is no easy task and most of the time, you can't get it in far enough for the umbrella to stay. This anchor really helps out tremendously, you just turn the handle into the sand (no need to push hard) until the sand comes up to the blue line and attach your umbrella into the hole. The hole for the umbrella is large enough to fit almost all umbrellas (we have used it on three different sized umbrellas with no issue), there's a little screw in there to secure the umbrella and you're done! I will say the anchor is larger than I expected but I wouldn't dream of not taking it when I'm using my umbrella. It easily fit into my beach bag (sticking out a little) and was very easy to hose off of any sand once we were done. Everything is plastic so you don't run the risk of the salt from the ocean rusting anything - perfect for many days at the beach.

Bought this anchor (the white one in my photo) because I got a second umbrella, needed another anchor and my experience with my 10+ year old anchor (the blue one) has been great. Although the two are branded differently they are identical in every detail except color. Glad the design was still around because they work very well.

Didn't try yet. But it appears strong and solid.
