Why size turkey does this brine?

I used the 25 oz jar to brine two 19lb turkeys. I deep fry mine so I let them brine a little longer than the instructions recommend, usually around 36 hours then drop the turkey right into the oil.

What kind of salt is used in your brine? All the brining recipes I’ve come across call for kosher salt.

I believe its kosher salt. Been using this brine for years...it's phenomenal!

Is this strictly for a wet brine? Has anyone used this as a dry brine?

I have not used as a dry brine.

How much of the 13 ounce jar should I use for brining a 4 pound turkey breast?

I don't know for sure, but I have BBQ'd turkey thighs before after using this brining mixture. I used 1 cup of the brining mixture with 1 gallon of water. However I think the turkey thigh was about 2 -3 lbs.
