Very reliable and easy to use
It's compact and lightweight (approximately the size and shape of a thickish paperback book) but has started my car every time without fail. It fits in my glove compartment. I have used it quite a bit due to some ongoing battery issues with add-on car components but it has worked so well that I haven't been in a big hurry to get those things fixed. I'm never stranded. It's incredibly simple to use. Plug the cable connector assembly into the unit, pop your hood, attach the red clamp to the red battery terminal (+pos) and the black clamp to the black battery terminal (-neg) and the unit automatically turns itself on and Start icon lights up. Start the car as normal and you're good to go. Unplug the clamps in reverse order and put everything away in the included bag. If your battery is particularly low, it might signal you to push the Boost button first, which adds a bit of extra cranking power but is only active for 30 seconds. That's always been way more than enough. It's in the Top 5 of the best value for money purchases I've made over the years. The two downsides I see are that 1) the bag that holds everything is not particularly well-stitched and came loose after a while but my seamstress friend fixed it up for me and 2) it's slowish to recharge but not annoyingly slow. To go from 80% to 100%, I think takes about an hour and a half. That's plugged into the wall in the house with the included USB charger.I try to keep it charged to 100% and I recharge it after 3 or 4 starts which brings it down to around 80%. I think it might not always have enough power below that level.

Great quality, and power.
Ok, so I haven’t had the need to jump start yet, but I have full confidence it will deliver, and the cables and clamps are quality.. I have used it to charge my phone, and I’ve used the 12V cig adapter to run my AstroAi vacuum. It powered it without any struggles. Suction was strong, Led was bright. I was able to do front and back of vehicle and only lost about 5% battery. I also like the case it comes with. Mine was missing the wall charger, so I contacted AstroAI support, and without hesitation they sent one out for me. They have great products, and support and sell there products at very reasonable prices. I will always recommend them to friends and family12/22/24! UPDATE! I finally needed to jump start my car. 2020 Forte with original battery finally dying. It’s 13 degrees in NJ this morning and my car was dead! Took out this bad boy which I leave under my front seat at all times and keep around 80%. Attached to battery and automatically the screen said “ jump start ready”. My car fired right up, and the screen only went to 78%! I just ordered an 2nd unit to keep in my wife’s car so we both have peace of mind knowing a dead battery will not leave us stranded. Awesome product!!

My Best Purchase of 2023
Even after reading many positive reviews, I was still hesitant about buying this. I couldn't believe, like many others, that this small thing could possibly start a car. I had no use for it for months, but was hopeful that it would get me out of a bind one day. I charged it to 96% when I first received it, then put it in my car and forgot it. A couple weeks ago, a customer's car wouldn't start at my work. She asked me for a jump. I remembered this jump box, grabbed it and turned it on and it still had 96% charge! It worked great. As soon as I hooked it up, she started the car and it fired up and immediately drained the jump box to 84%. I saw it work right before my eyes. This morning it was 9 degrees and my car wouldn't start. I got this jump box out and she fired it right up, the beast. It took it from 84% to 80%. Then the same thing happened at lunch AND when my shift was over. My little, mighty jump box came through all day! So far, four jumps now and it still has 72% charge. How great is that? I love the digital display, all bright and big. It flashes the % when it's charging and has 2 brightness settings. It powers right up easily. It has a boost button for bigger jobs, but I've only needed the standard one so far. It has all kinds of output ports for different devices during a storm or whatever. It has a great light that burns steady, flashes, or flashes red for emergencies. Also has a nice little bag to carry, and it has a compass. It will be my new camping buddy for sure. It could probably charge my phone or power other devices many times if it starts a car four times and still has 72%. I'm in love with it now lol.

Small size is super handy when you need it.
Works as described, charged mine and first use was for a very dead go-cart battery. Not a huge amp draw but being DOA my fancy electronic battery maintainer was useless without polarity established. The Astro worked perfect.Tested today with a multi meter to determine if I could use it to maintain 12v in a truck when removing and changing out the battery. It wont, voltage is only flowing during the time the "boost" is active which is only 30 seconds. I'm not going to be that fast changing a big group 48 battery. A positive is the voltage supplied during that 30 sec boost period was 16.3 amps. The Astro holds a charge for a long time, also a big plus.If your a buyer read the owners manual, its short. And practice once or twice to orient yourself with the operation. Pushing and holding the correct buttons long enough to active seems long to me as I have little patience.

Easy to use!!
I returned home to California from a 30 day trip to the East Coast. My Toyota 4 Runner SR5 was parked in my garage for the same 30 days. I arrived at my house and needed to pick up my mail and buy some groceries. The Toyota battery was dead, the engine wouldn't even turn over. This car charger, not much bigger than a cell phone, was able to start my car immediately. All I had to do was clamp the positive connector on the positive battery post and the negative connector on the negative battery post and turn my car key in the ignition. It started like magic !! The car charger itself charges exactly like a cell phone also. It reads 100 when fully charged and tells you how much charge is left as you use it. I was tired from my one month trip and had a lot to do. It saved my day and saved my money!!
