So impressed that I bought another one
Very impressed with this pump. I do supermarket startups and bought another one after seeing how well the first one worked. I am able to pull vacuum on large line sets up to 120 ft pong down below 170 microns in about 2-3 hrs. Shorter lines sets even lower and faster. Easy setup, fairly light, long run time without any issues, One con which for me is not really a con considering more expensive pumps do the same, is it does spit a minor amount of oil out of the gas ballast.

Cracked housing
Not about the product itself as I never got to turn it on! The unit came with the metal housing completely cracked. Didn’t find out till I added oil and it instantly drained out all over my workbench! Unfortunately, I never got to turn it on. Apparently it was dropped from a large height somewhere along the way. I had high hopes for this.

14.4CFM model was able to pull down to mid 20s micron.
Using the include oil , it’s able to pull down a new Fujitsu 3ton mini split that had a pin hole and leaked out all the refrigerant. The final pull down 22-23 micron. It took significantly longer using Robinair oil; therefore, high quality oil is crucial. The included oil is unbranded. The noise level is not overly loud and much quieter than a FieldPiece VP55 which could only pull the same system down to 90-100micron. The oil change involves removing a threaded plug with an Allen key which definitely is more laborious than the VP55. My Robinair 15434 pulls this system down to 36 micron. The largest port is a 3/8” SAE which reduces a star in my view. As an advertised 14.4 CFM model, it’s unusual that there is not a 1/2” SAE port on it. Seems to be built well. Time and additional use cases will tell if this unit holds up. I will definitely be updating this review in the coming months. Lastly the pump head does get hot after an hours use; which calls for a fan to blow at it. During this use, the weather is around 99 Deg F in N. California. The short attached video is mainly to show the noise level which is no louder than most pumps of similar configuration.
