Excellent sub for the price!
Wow, what a difference! I had purchased an Onkyo receiver almost 2 years ago and connected an old set of Yamaha speakers to it and it was making due. The front, center and rears all work well and provide great sound, but the sub we had was a 6inch powered that just didn't deliver. Not sure if one of the kids kicked it or it just tore, but it was sounding horrible. Ordered this on a Wednesday night and got it Friday day! Problem solved! This 10inch is POWERFUL! I wanted to get the whole Klipsch set that Costco sells, but it's $1200+ so this is a perfect start and I can build the set over time and hopefully catch other speakers on deals. Very good quality from this company, definitely recommend for the price.

Great purchase
Do you know how there are some things you buy on Amazon that you are indifferent about? Well, I LOVE this purchase. I'm no audiophile, I'm just a regular guy who listens to all kinds of music. I have 20 year old Yamaha speakers and now this subwoofer. Whenever people come over they compliment me on my sound system. Heavy metal, old school, dance, pop- it all sounds awesome thanks to the bass from this sub. It's an easy setup and once I adjusted the two dials to the bump I like, I leave it alone and it turns itself off after so many minutes of inactivity. I am so happy with this purchase!

Way better than the Rockville 600w 10's. Overwhelming bass.
Tried the Rockville Rock Shaker 10 White 600W first because of the price, and it was so inferior to the Klipsch R100SW 10". The sub would make a low pop on receiver mute, and it would only be good at only 25-30hz.The Klipsch was so powerful, and linear compared to the Rockville, that I had to put in 1/2 the gain on the sub, and 2.0db on the LFE channel in the receiver. The enclosure is smaller on the Klipsch, but it feels a lot more solid. Wish that Klipsch would make a white enclosure, but I guess you can't have it all. Totally worth it more than the $50 than I paid over the Rockville.

Awesome sound for not a lot of money.
Easy to set up and sounds great. It really is plug n play. One simple wire from my receiver to the speaker, then set your ‘gain’ according to personal preference. I set mine at 25 - 30%. Any more than that and I think my walls would cave in. I probably should’ve gotten the next smaller model, but the sound coming out of this thing is unbelievable.

No Mud in the Bass
I had a Yamaha sub-woofer that bottomed out at 40 Hz. This Klipsch R-1000SW is just 20 Hz better at with a low end at 19 Hz +/- 3DB. Well musically, there isn't much to hear a 19Hz. Low end for a bass guitar is 40-50 Hz depending on the individual instrument. The takeaway is that 40 Hz is comfortably within the range of the R-1000SW's range. The difference is clear to hear. If you listen to Blues or classical music, this sub-woofer is right for you.

So Far So Good! Will shake your walls if you let it!
I've used this brand for 30 years now and Finally my old one died. I Purchased this one and so far so good. I took off one star because the hard plastic horn piece on the speaker is sticking out and not Flush like it should be but i wasn't gonna ship this big thing back for that. It got past quality control I guess. It was easy to install and works great. It can shake your walls if you let it! It Is the key piece to any Surround sound system. Wireless surround sound can't compare to Hard wired systems. Will update in the future if anything changes.
