Rick & Morty: The Pickle Rick Game

The reviews are accurate: the instructions are very long and make the game seem daunting,but once you read them and start playing, the game is easy to understand and so much fun! I got it as a birthday gift for my boyfriend and we both love it and play all the time. It's addicting and so much fun. We both like Rick and Morty, but even if you didn't, I think you'd still like the game. Don't let the instructions throw you off in the beginning! 10/10 would recommend.

Really really fun game! My wife and I have played it every night since I got it, and it's hard to come up with outstanding 2 player games. The game is well thought out, with balanced game play, easy to understand rules without being overly simplistic, and it's a different experience with every playthough. I can tell that this game was thoroughly playtested to get the competitive balance right for both sides. Even the rule book is well thought out, and answers all of the what if scenarios that inevitably arise in games like this. The game perfectly captures the spirit of the Pickle Rick episode. The art and titles of the play cards are right on. This is a great game, even if you aren't a fan of, or familiar with Rick & Morty. I'm thoroughly pleased with this purchase. Not only am I completely satisfied, it exceeded my expectations. Well done!!!

Fun

It is so hard to win as Rick, but the booklet is so confusing and overwhelming. However once you start it’s almost like an “OHHHHHH” kind of understanding. Pickle Rick is a figurine that holds all the cards and there’s two tiny figurines that is both Jaguar and Rick Augmented. Nice game. Hate losing

Game is pretty fun, I think the Russian side is a bit OP with the way the rules are layed out but if you realize that you can't just go around as Rick all willy nilly it can be fun. I think there maybe too many tiles that say spawn 2 guards as one of our playthroughs we had like 6 in a row that spawned guards which really wrecked havoc on Rick. Fun game that the kids have a blast using. The pickle case could use some work. Mine doesn't seal all the way and I'm debating sending it back to get another as they packed it with a 25lb bag of dog food and a 15lb back of cat food so I think it got squished. Not exactly the game's fault but there isn't a latch or anything just is held in by a male peg and a female peg, they should have used a clips. All together it's a fun game but probably should be around $30 and not the $45 MSRP.

Ok, I get it. I'm a bad parent. I let my son watch a few Rick and Morty episodes with me. Starting with pickle Rick. I let him watch it because I told him I wasn't really his dad. "I'm pickle Rick!" Yeah. Again. Bad dad. So then we watched it together, both of us laughing hysterically as a pickle with rat components storms the Russian embassy. Lo and behold there is a game based on this very episode. I bought it and played it with my son. (BTW the game is very PG, the adult swimminess has been very pasteurized, so NOT bad dad). THE GAME IS VERY FUN. My one note would be that the instructions are daunting to get through, but could have been summarized on about one page as: - here are the rules about tiles 1 2 3 - here are the rules about shooting 1 2 3 For everything else read the cards and do what they say.

I bought this as much for it as a display item as the game. Not only is the pickle rick box great and well detailed, the game is an absolute blast. Love how the case is both a functional display item and a container for a very fun game!

For as creative as a game it is... it is a two player game. That isnt really fun tbh. Super complicated rules with hard strategy. Mine was obviously used and opened. I will say it comes with a very cute stand and the pickle itself makes this worth the price for a Rick and Morty fan (almost). My bro loved it as a gift.
