A flagship phone that won't break the bank
Is this phone cheap? No. Is this phone overly expensive? Also no. It's got a great headphone jack with a custom quad DAC chip built into the phone co-developed between ESS and LG. It will drive your higher end headphones well. It has google assistant built in. It has a decent size battery and all the latest doodads to charge it including quick charge and QI wireless charging. The processor puts it on equal footing with the S9+. Also it has this nice new feature where you can use it to place telephone calls. Crazy what they can do with technology these days.

Great phone. $480 sale was fantastic.
Love this phone. Worked perfectly out of the box with my straight talk SIM that uses Verizon's towers. Enabled Google's phone app and visual voice mail works without a hitch. Wish they would hurry up and push the android 9 update they promised. Make sure you buy the one sold and shipped by Amazon instead of the 3rd party sellers if your worried you won't get the correct model like others have claimed. Amazon for sure ships you the carrier unlocked model listed here. And not the sprint variant some people are getting.

Reasons that it can only worth 150$ but not after the update
Its a cheap product with cheap camera. Even phones costing 100$ will give same quality pics. Both front and back are worst. 0/5 Sound is not to the expectation Bass however is good but don't expect much. 1/5 Display i would give negative rating. Dont expect seeing the Q HD or other things. Its so dull 0/5 After an update display is stunning awesome. 5/5 Charging is in reverse way lol. It went down from 50% to 15% in 15 minutes. But from 15% to 0% in 45minutes. Something goes wrong here 0/5 After the update 4/5 Dont know why lg is feeling high in pricing the phones more than 600$ including taxes. I would tag 150$ worth for lg g7 thinq. (Negative rating -5/5) After the update I would tag 450$ Phone was also Super heat sometimes No overheating after the update Out of the box is display (Super bright ) and camera is the best for low light pics. Sound or gesture vibration patterns are so good

So far so good.
So far it's worked nicely, sound it great. Have had a few glitches, nothing major. Battery life is average, similar to most phones. One down side is voicemail with Verizon won't work... At all.

Not for Verizon
I recommend the phone but not the seller (ironically, LG). As many others had reported, this phone does not work on Verizon as described. It only supports GSM. I should have listened to the other reviews and saved myself the hassle.

First unit arrived defective -- returned, this unit replaced later and seems fine.
Other than defects, which can happen in any brand and model, once we ordered a replacement this product seems to operate fine. Note that the G7 ThinQ does not have an identical user interface to the LG V35. G7 is much less intuitive to use or find desired settings and appears to be missing some useful settings or options found on the V35 model. Quality of materials is excellent and sound quality is above average, though not as good as as the Moto Droid Turbo 2 it replaced (the T2 had dual sizable front-facing stereo speakers). Given the choice again, now that we know the user interface difference, we would choose the V-series rather than G-series phone.

Solid build - great screen - poor battery and camera software
Really love the size and build of this device. The audio was great, the screen was great. Performance really suffered in that the OS did not seem optimized for the hardware (stutters and lags) but this was most evident in the camera software which would lock up during launch or during a photo capture, sometimes not even taking a photo. This was also reflecting in the poor battery life, very moderate use in good signal area resulted in 50% drain with only a few hours (mostly in standby). Wanted to really like this device but it didn't work out.
