The assortment of alarms allow you to choose between peaceful music, calming bird noises, and upbeat messages to get your day started. I no longer wake up startled from my blaring phone alarm and then have to deal with staring at a full brightness screen trying to get it to shut off. The Restore slowly lights my room and softly wakes me up with its calming presence. The app is very straightforward, nicely designed, and very customizable. I’ve enjoyed the different light settings for each of the steps of my unwinding routine, the feature to preview all of the sounds, and being able to turn clock the time on and off so that there’s not light at night is a really great addition. I really have enjoyed customizing my schedule between the week and weekend, and being able to skip through some of the steps if I’m having a late night allows me to still fall asleep to the sounds I like. Overall, this clock has really upped the quality of my sleep through a more peaceful wind down and wake up.

I have been thinking about getting this alarm for a while now. I have opted for alternatives like smart home light automations before but I am actually glad I got this clock because of ease of use and not having to go into my phone to turn it off. Some background of my environment and why I have considered this clock before: I sleep on the side of the bed where we sometimes hear cars driving past our busy street. My partner has a sound machine on his side but I have been considering having one too. My issues with sleep involve sometimes staying asleep or not feeling refreshed when I wake up. I have found waking up with light automations a game changer for me especially during the winter. I have found this clock easy to setup via the app. Another thing I love about this clock is that it has buttons and it functions without having to go into your phone. I cannot stand hardware that is solely dependent on my phone as a person who is trying to go a little more analogue in their life. Also, the buttons were thought out and they feel tactile and different from each other so it feels intuitive to me without having to look. It seems like a good quality clock. I love the layout of the app where you can configure what you want the clock to do. You can setup winding down routine, sleeping routine and waking routine by configuring and setting the light, sound volume, sound type. I am excited to play more with these features because I am the meditation type and love listening to audiobooks every now and then. I get so picky about the sound of people's voices for winding down so I am happy the library has been curated well.

There’s a bit of a learning curve at first, just because there are so many lighting and sound options to explore! It’s really customizable and easy to tailor to your own routines and preferences. Where it’s really been a lifesaver is during the winter months here in Canada. Waking up in the pitch black is brutal, but the gentle sunrise feature has made those mornings so much more bearable. It feels way more natural and less jarring than a regular alarm. Bonus: even our dog loves it! As soon as the wind-down music and soft “northern lights” colours come on at night, he trots over and settles in. Highly recommend this clock for anyone looking to improve their sleep routine—especially if you live in a place with long, dark winters.

Very disappointing. The hardware is good but the app is unusable. There is a lot of potential in this product but they will only realise it when they throw out the current app and rebuild it with ease of use and flexibility in mind. Honestly this industry is begging for a competitor to come in and show us how this can be done well. Unfortunately Hatch is not that (yet? 🤞). I'd love to return my Hatch 3 and wait for that competitor, maybe they never come but this $200 disappointment is not bringing me any joy.

Love my hatch! I could not recommend this enough. It helps us get a great night sleep and the design is super sleek and aesthetic on our night table. Buy one, you will not regret it.
