Decent NVR for the price, includes a web UI too
Got this for around 4.6k after discounts, at this price its a decent device. Many reviews and other documentation seem to imply that there is no web interface, but there is a web based interface available.I received the v2 hardware revision as expected which seem to support cameras upto 8 MP and more simultaneous viewing. I have ordered few VIGI IP cams which I'm yet to receive but I had a no-brand PTZ IP cam lying around, was able to add that cam to the NVR and it worked great. Even the PTZ functions worked as well.I haven't tried the desktop app, but the mobile app is simple and decent enough. Web interface also work decently, but there is certainly improvements that's necessary. Some PTZ functions do not work over the web UI for example.

VIGI NVR1008H, Simply the Best One 👍
Tp-Link VIGI 8CH NVR is the Best in its class. Just Plug & Play. No complicated settings. VIGI IP Cameras get added automatically. It supports 10GB HDD. I added 8 Vigi cameras, all 4MP. The bandwidth 80Mbps easily supports 8 cameras of 4MP. It also supports ONVIF. You can add Third party cameras without any extra effort. Built quality of this NVR (VIGI NVR1008H) is premium. Fully Recommended 👍

Just Okay.
Got it setup 2 days back and it’s working fine for now.Since, I own TP link Tapo series cameras so my first choice was TP link nvr. This is from VIGI series and not Tapo but from TP link so I thought it would support the Tapo series as well.Setup was a breeze but compatibility is an issue. None of the cameras are giving audio output via NVR. This is quite a bummer because Tapo and Vigi both are from TP link and there is a compatibility issue. Did a little research and found that even hikvision and other IP cameras are having audio output issue with this NVR.I haven’t ordered HDD online as almost all of them get damaged in the carriage. Will update my review as soon as I install a HDD. For now, the recordings are getting saved in Tapo cameras’ SD card only.Vigi app is satisfactory as the video output and camera control is comparatively poor from Tapo app.All in all, go for other brands such as CP plus or Hikvision. This one needs a lot of optimisations. Hoping for optimisation of issues via firmware update. Till then, go for some other brands.
