Great relay
I bought this to extend the Bluetooth range between my SwitchBot hub and sensors. I do not use the switching function. As a Bluetooth extender, it works flawlessly. I like the flexibility to use a variety of power sources. I attached an old 24 volt passive POE (power over Ethernet) adapter so I could safely hang it on the wall and plug into any nearby outlet. The instructions list several options for power inputs (100-240V AC; 12 or 24-48V DC). Wiring and setup were simple and its tiny size allows it to go just about anywhere. I'm not sure I would pay full list price (since I'm not using the full functionality), but significant discounts are frequently available. SwitchBot devices have been very reliable for me.

Garage push button wiring.
I wired it in conjunction with one of my led momentary push buttons, 28vac I think. You just need the 120 hot and neutral on the right terminals, then the 2 far left terminals are switched. I don’t think it matters, just the 2 low voltage wires either side. I think you can have it wired into the ceiling garage door opener, but I had an electrical enclosure to use. Good luck on getting Alexa and Siri shortcut to work. Really had to dig deep and figure it out. I did not have to download Matter, even though Alexa wanted me to. I think I only set it up on the, new to me, Switchbot app. Then I was able to get Siri shortcut, then finally somehow got Alexa to recognize the bot. I set the momentary switch duration in the app to the lowest setting I found(1 sec). I can now tell Siri to open the garage, so relieved. All my big garage leds come on when I get home from the Alexa arrival routine, which messes up my garage door clicker reception from my truck is mostly why I went this route if you are wondering. Don’t let the picture fool you, it really is small, might seem bigger in the pic. Just hope this helps anyone going into it blind like I did. Thanks.

Great product - horrible instructions
This should be a 5 star product but their decision to use 4 point type for the instructions makes the manual uselesss. Functionally it has been flawless. It was relatively easy to set up in the app and Alexa automatically added it to its device functions. I quickly added 4 more to my system for a total of 8. They activate/automate 12V lights in the RV, the remote switch on a gate opener, exhaust fans and low voltage lights. So far they have all operated exactly as they should. The less than 2"x3" instruction sheets are just silly.

Misleading description, outright failure
There are already well established home automation protocols that have been in use for years, but this company decided to not pay any of that attention, and lead potential customers into thinking this will work fine with a SmartThings Zigbee hub, which it will not. So, just to humor things and verify it's even working, I add the switch to my SwitchBot (I use their little temp / humidity sensors) app just to see if I can live with switching them that way. All installed fine, but one of the switches were defective; 120VAC in just fine, the relay in the switch clicks as it is supposed to, but no 120V output whatsoever. Boxed 'em up and sent them back. There's another 1/2 hour of my life I'll never get back due to someone else's negligence in making a defective, terrible product.

Smart little device!
The relay switch is a smart little device! It's great. It allows you to turn on any plug or light into a connected device basically. Then it becomes integrated into Switchbot ecosystem (and because it's matter compatible, into the whole smart home system) and you can automate whatever it's connected to. I've got it attached to my foyer lights so they turn on when I unlock my front dooor. I'm not good with electrical stuff but it was pretty easy once I was able to figure out which wires were which. I will probably get another one to use for my garage door.

Works great as always and much cheaper than alternatives (like Hue)

The SwitchBot Matter Relay Switch 1 is a very practical way to make traditional switches smart. Installation is straightforward if you have basic electrical knowledge, and setup through the SwitchBot app is quick and intuitive. Once installed, it’s completely hidden, which is a big plus. Performance has been stable and responsive, with instant control from the app and no connectivity issues so far. It works great for automations and remote control of lights or other devices, and integrates perfectly with the SwitchBot ecosystem. A solid and reliable product overall.
