Edit: New app version has a customizable EQ!
I really love the unique aesthetic on these headphones. I wanted to get something elegant and unique for the gym and travel. I have other products from Moondrop that I’m very happy with (Dawn Pro, CHU II, Space Travel). So I figured I’d take a chance on the Edge. The fit/finish look/feel premium and they are infinitely comfortable. The Bluetooth 5.4 connection is extremely fast and stable with no audible noise. My biggest complaint with the Edge is how empty the bass response is. I am no audiophile and I know that I prefer a slight “V”-shaped sound signature. That being said, there is a “basshead” EQ preset in the app and even with this EQ preset selected, the bass is still quite anemic. I would REALLY appreciate if Moondrop would fix this with a firmware update. They could add the option for a customizable, 10-band EQ or just boost the bass levels in their cooked in EQ. If they can get the bass to be comparable to the Space Travel or the CHU II with a firmware update, I’ll gladly come back and rate the Edge 5 stars. Until then, I really can’t recommend these. Edit: Moondrop released a firmware update that seems to have improved the bass response a bit. With the “basshead” EQ preset selected, the sound profile seems relatively flat to me (which is a good thing!). I still think the basshead EQ should have a more pronounced bass response though. The “basshead” EQ tuning should be the “balanced” preset in my opinion. That being said, I’m really enjoying these headphones a lot more now! Edit: Moondrop released a new version of their app and added a customizable EQ! I have to update my review and give credit where it’s due. The customizable EQ truly brings these headphones into 5 star territory now. I like that they give you a target response curve and then give you a predicted response with your EQ filters applied. This is very common in professional audio development and it’s great to see in a consumer product like this. I built an EQ based on the Harman Target response and I added a low shelf filter to improve the bass response. Overall, I’m extremely happy with the sound quality now. These are perfect now for the gym or the coffee shop. I really enjoy these headphones now. Thanks Moondrop!

Great Sound, Weird Quirks
First, these are very good headphones for the price. Bass is a bit lacking. Midrange is great. Highs are clear. Overall, they sound very similar to my Bowers Wilkins PX7. I’ve been told the microphone is clear but picks up a lot of background noise, once ANC was turned on some of the background noise dropped out to the listener. The app isn’t available for iOS when scanning the QR code included with the packaging. I’m not sure if there is something available for iOS. The quirks are funny, but annoying. The buttons are not discernible from each other, so you will be guessing until you master the buttons. The ANC notifications are hilarious, it seems like there are three. “Hey” “Sheeeeeee” “Mmmmua” I couldn’t tell you which is supposed to be what, unless it’s a different language (which I’m obviously ignorant to). The ANC isn’t very strong to me, and I don’t get any weird feelings from it, but my partner said she had “clogged” ears feeling. Off mode is how I would listen to it most of the time. Transparent mode is surprisingly better than most headsets, it sounds very natural. Overall, very nice headphones for the price. The fit and feel is nice and slightly premium. The materials used are cheap, but feel good. The included bag is nice as well. I wish I could change the ANC notifications to something that made sense for me, maybe I can do it on an Android phone.

Worth the money
These feel really luxurious and we'll built. I did end up glueing on small crystals to each button bc they are really flat and hard to feel when wearing but I think it just made them cuter and more personal. The sound quality is good but as others say they arent the best noise cancelling. I use them daily with my phone and also TV. Easy to connect to both as well. The aren't super heavy omwhen wearing but also aren't so light weight that they feel fragile.

Not worth buying
While they sound good they are extremely quiet. Good luck using them in any environment where there's any noise going on. The ANC works ok but it isn't enough for a commute or anywhere that already isn't relatively quiet already. My ears are pretty good and its just a big disappointment how quiet they are. I love the look and they're really comfortable but other than appearance I regret spending my money on this. If you have sensitive ears and expect to use these only at home then that's the only case I'd say you should buy these otherwise stay as far away as you can, it is a waste.

Underrated
The bass is limited on these, because the manufacturer is shooting for a reference/neutral sound. For my library, I usually use the old studio equipment preset, which adds a little bass and takes the treble down just a hair. For pure vocal songs, I actually like the violin solo preset. These do not have a custom eq setting, which is a bummer at any price in 2025. Hopefully, this will be something the Moondrop addresses in the future. These fit while wearing glasses with no problems, and the clamp factor is not too high on my large head. I think these are good value for money for sound quality. The noise cancelling and microphone are passable, and I don't really use the transparency mode. Gaming mode is useful for reducing latency, but I usually don't need it.

Great sound, some minor nitpicks and QC issues, but still worth it
Sound quality is great, noise cancellation is great, battery good the one major gripe is that there is an anime girl assistant that can be annoying sometimes like “power on!” Or “device connected!” And once the battery gets low to around 30% It will keep saying “battery low” every minute until it’s dead. Not to much of a problem considering It can last many days even though I listen to music daily. For me the weight is at a perfect level along with the clamp force and the ear cups. The QC may be questionable though, as the first one I got had a loose screw thing shaking in the cup. That wasn’t a problem though with my second one. The build quality feels good enough for the price, but worth it for the money considering the sound. You have a few eq profiles to choose from on the moondrop app and the general balance of the tuning has quite an emphasis on the upper mids which may be a good or bad thing depending upon your preference. Me personally I chose the bass preset, because as with lots of people I like some extra bass. This may also make the balance with the upper mids better so they don’t overshadow the other parts of the range Overall despite some minor gripes and nitpicks the Moondrop Edge still gives you great value for the money considering the sound quality it has for offer.

Very comfortable, good sound, look awesome.
I got them for their design. They are lightweight and fold, I am overjoyed. Sound is really good, precise, immersive. I love bass, there is enough for me. I did turn it in the app, which is fairly rudimentary. However, even if it is rudimentary, you can disable transparency or anc altogether, or just let anc be all the time. I think this is fantastic feature, wish my other really expensive headphones had that. I agree that buttons are a little weird, but better then some other ones where anc is in such position that you hit it all the time... Issue I had with buttons is that volume buttons for my taste are reversed, where I expect to be increase of volume is opposite. Overall, really happy with these headphones, enjoying the music.
