I used this as a carry on. South west didn’t give me any trouble with sizing even though it is slightly larger than some airlines carry on guidelines. I’d like this to have 4 wheels instead of two, but it did what I needed it to do. Perfect for weekend trips.

I've owned a lot of 5.11 stuff over the years and the name has a good reputation with tactical gear and clothing so when I needed new carry on and saw this, I had to give it a try. First off, this is VERY lightweight which all good luggage should be. No, it does not have 4 wheels. I know this bothers some but I can still handle my luggage using only two wheels. If that's an issue for you, I get it but I'm okay with it so I'm not knocking it. As you know, you'll save a lot of time finding your luggage on a carousel when your luggage doesn't blend in and the color and look of this luggage stands out nicely. If you need to check this, no worries, all the zippers will accept locks and it expands nicely with the use of another zipper. The inner compartments keep your items separated and easy to find. Do I feel this is a great value? Not entirely. I can probably find a carry on for less but it will certainly not have the tactical/military look that this one has and carry the reputation of a company known for making hard wearing clothing and gear.

This luggage is well designed and built with quality materials. I really like how it has a laptop protector on the inside in the middle. Now I no longer have to worry about my laptop rolling around or having to wrap it up and stick it inside. That was definitely the highlight of the luggage. It has two wheels on it, and they are big wheels that let me pull this down a gravel trail without any problem. The handle extends long enough and being over 6 ft I have no problem pulling this comfortably. I liked the green color, it's a dark green that looks nice. The zippers work very well and are very easy to use. There's plenty of storage space inside, I can easily fit a weeks worth of clothes in the luggage. The back side is made out of a hard black rubber plastic, which doesn't scuff or show marks easily. It even has TSA approved locks on the outside that you can set to whatever number code you prefer. It's lightweight yet built solid. I definitely recommend this carry-on.

Outstanding actually! It is a soft shell, we were so tired of hard shell luggage, and it expands/contracts with you. The quality of the outer material is excellent and I suspect will last us for well over a decade. The color is such that dirt doesn't show. The inside is very carefully organized and there are tons of compartments, which minimizes the amount of extra bags, containers you have to carry or put inside. There is a place to stash your laptop and all your tech gear like chargers, etc. There is a place for underwear, socks, etc., a place to put cosmetics and such and plenty of space to stash clothing. The only minor complaint is that the wheels don't roll in every direction but only back and forth, so you have to pull it, you can't push it in an airport. Not the end of the world but definitely could be a bit easier.

This is a darn good suitcase. And if it cost just a little less, I'd give it 5 stars. But when the cost of a carry-on exceeds $200 — ($210 at the time of this review) — I have a few extra expectations. Wheels. There's a lot of debate online about which is better 2-wheels or 4 "spinner" wheels. 4-wheels are more comfortable to maneuver but are less rugged. I took a carry-on with 4 spinner wheels to Europe last year -- 2.5 weeks, 5 cities, 6 airports. I lost one of my 4 wheels half-way through the trip, and it made the rest of the trip a pain in the rear. You can only drag cases with 2-wheels, but the wheels typically are less likely to fall off, and can be taken over uneven terrain. An added bonus: suitcases with only 2 wheels have more cargo space inside. But... I asked a search engine if a carry-on suitcase with two rugged wheels for dragging, can include two spinner wheels in front, in place of the stands, for easier maneuvering. The answer is yes. So when it comes to a carry-on that exceeds $200, I would've expected them to add that feature. Interior xippers. One of the unique features of this case is the way the interior cargo spec is divided. Rather than a zipper down the middle providing two equal halves to fill, they zipper splits the cargo space 70/30. The thinner side has space for a laptop inside the lid, and a two layer mesh area, with a gap in between, that is accessible from both sides. The issue is that it's not really accessible from both sides, because the interior zipper that is used to secure the mesh between the top and the bottom, is not double-sided. So really... If you want to access to the stuff in between the mesh, you can do other from either side. But if you're in the mesh area, and want to drill down into the bottom area, you can't, because the zipper cannot be operated from that side. Again, when it comes to a carry-on that exceeds $200, I would've expected them to add double-sided zippers. Exterior handles. The handles are tight and do not have any built-in elastic give that enables them to expand when a hand is inserted. This is a problem when trying to grab the bag off a rack or from an overhead bin. If you can't get your hand into the handle without wiggling it into place, the handle is nearly useless. It requires more engineering to install expanding handles, but then this carry-on costs $210. Other than those three things, it's a good bag and I have enjoyed using it so far.

Buena opción si eres de llevar pocos objetos, pero te gusta tenerlo todo organizado para no sacar toda la maleta cuando pases por la banda tus objetos electrónicos y metálicos. En la parte inferior caben 2 pantalonesa de mezlilla gruesos, 4 camisas y ropa interior más una bolsita con objetos de aseo sin ningún problema y comodamente; si necesitas más espacio se expanda muy fácil y está dentro de las medidas de los aeropuertos. La parte del centro tiene espacio para una laptop de 17.5 pulgadas con todo y funda así como la parte del frente (Modelo Precision 7780 17.5 pulgadas, una de las más grandes) pero no la recomendaría tanto para ponerla laptop al frente; cabe, si, pero si te ponen una bolsa muy pesada encima, o que se siente alguien por error, creo que está algo expuesta, tal vez una lapton de 14-15 pulgadas fina o una tableta quedan excelentes para este compartimento para que no se avulte. Para placa de datos, puedes poner el velcro con tu nombre, o ponerlo en la parte de un costado dentro de una bolsita que tiene, sin embargo no sería tan visible. Las hazas tanto lateral como frontal aguantan bien, las ruedas no raspan y tampoco se raspoa el haza de la parte de abajo porque los "topes" que tiene al frente absorben el tamaño. Se le limpia muy fácil la suciedad y no pesa nada (3.0kg) vacía, viene perfecto si le quieres cargar pocas cosas de gran volúmen. Sería bueno un strap al centro, ya que no tuve oportundiad de ver que tal iba con objetos sueltos, recomendaría unas bolsas que organicen y te permitan acceder rapido a esa parte; no tener que abrir toda la maleta es su punto más fuerte.
