My wife got this for me as a late Xmas present. I am overwhelmed by the quality of the materials - blades, strip, wood blanks, guidebook, and the handwritten note from Anna. Terrific way to get into whittling and carving. I have completed 2 of the crafts they include. The knives are great (although I did accidentally snap off the tip of the whittling knife). They fit good in the hand and are very light weight. The directs provided in the included book are decent. They can be a little unclear, but the pictures help out. Overall a great kit to start whittling with.

Really enjoyed how nice this kit is for a beginner. My son has lots of interest in whittling. The book covers safety, different whittling techniques and cool projects which made it super easy to begin. Love the variety of wood it includes, sturdy knives, and the hand written note from Anna the warehouse in Connecticut was what sealed the deal! Few companies out there seem to care about quality products that are made in USA but we are so happy to support both! The hand written note is just customer service you rarely see anymore. Top notch, highly recommend this kit. Added bonus everything smelled clean and nice not moldy or soaked in artificial fragrance as some products come.

It’s fine. My kid is enjoying it (10 year old). I have to research the tools to see what their purpose is since there is no direction. The book is nice but doesn’t reference the tools included rather references other tools. This would be fine if the tools came with a guide of what each too was for and how to use it.

It's a perfect starter

Received the kit, tried the first project and the knife wouldn't cut. I looked at the blade and there were chips in the blade. I assumed maybe it came that way and I missed it. Ordered a replacement. Tried another project in a small piece of basswood, the edge of the knife started rolling. Returning that and just asking for a refund now. The product seems to be really low quality and several of the projects require other pieces of equipment (bandsaw table saws etc) to do per the instructions. I would not recommend this product or any of this brands knives.
