Got rid of the spiders in my garage! The smell is not that bad and will dissipate over time.

These are so strong smelling we had to remove them from the house. We put them down the basement. The whole house smelled terrible. Now we are trying to get the oder out of the basement. I will never buy these again.

These pellets work at just like they say they will. The peppermint odor isn't so heavy that it turns people off or anything and the other ingredients are just as "quiet when it comes to the odor"

It has a horrible odor… kind of smells like bad breath. But it works!

I got the these spider repellent because I wanted to keep pests, mostly cockroaches, away from my home. I was hoping for something different from other repellents I've used in the past, but it turns out it’s pretty much the same. The peppermint scent is stronger than I expected, and honestly, it smells a lot like mothballs but 3x stronger, which is way more overwhelming. If you’re already sensitive to the strong odors of moth balls, this might not be the best choice for your space.I find this repellent good for rooms you rarely enter, like the basement or attic, where I’ve noticed a lot of pests gathering. I wouldn't want to place it in areas where I spend more time because the smell is very strong. While I appreciate that the scent is meant to repel insects and maybe even rodents, I worry that it might push pests into other parts of the house instead of keeping them out entirely. Overall, it seems effective for specific problem areas, but I wouldn't want it lingering in my main living spaces.

Recently these ugly buggers moved into our basement laundry room attracted to the damp conditions behind the washing machine. I've tried just about everything to get rid of them, spray insecticides, powdered boric acid, bait traps, sticky traps, roach hotels, etc. No matter what I did, every time I thought I’d won, they'd show up again within the week. On an impulse I ordered these spider repellent balls. I'm so glad I did.I placed two of these about 3 feet apart on top of the concrete foundation crack I suspected the bugs were coming in through. Ever since I did this I haven't seen a single one. I left a few sticky traps down and they haven't caught any, when they used to catch them every few days. It's clear to me that they do not like the smell of these.A word of caution these are strong smelling. They don't smell like peppermint they smell like the mothballs grandma used to keep at her house. They are very strong. If you don't like the smell of mothballs you will not like this product. I've noticed that the scent is stronger when the temperature is warmer, but I don't mind. I would not place them in any area of the home where people live. I think the smell would simply be too overwhelming.The balls come individually packaged in a sealed plastic wrap. The box also includes little cloth bags and although there are no instructions I deduced that you are supposed to remove the ball from the plastic wrap and put it inside the small cloth bag before you use it. You can see this indicated on the photographs that accompany the Amazon ad for the product. That's what I did and I'm very happy with the results. I have a box of 24 and I've only needed to use two. They seem to be just as strong today as they were when I put them down over two months ago. If you've got a space where you don't mind if there's a strong odor and you've got an issue with bugs these are definitely worth a try.
