I wake up to sun shine and birds chirping. Amazing for winter and the shorter days. I was worried my husband would hate it but he said it was the most pleasant way to wake up.

I purchased this for travel, but find that it's nearly impossible to pack in a suitcase without turning on and draining the battery. Imagine it burning brightly inside your packed suitcase - i wonder if it gets hot and risks fire. Bad design. Very bad design. It needs a lock switch so it won't turn on when touched. I haven't even tried it yet for its intended use and it already only rates two stars.

I've only used this for the morning thus far, but I found an immediate issue. The light started flickering (pulsing?) in the final 10-odd minutes of the sunrise period; it didn't turn fully off at any point, but the brightness levels were changing every second or two. I will be returning this unit, but I will say that in my (admittedly very limited) experience, the light otherwise seemed to work pretty well; it was bright, the app was easy enough to use, it turned on per the schedule, etc. Still, the sunrise feature was the primary draw for me, and I suspect it might be for others here as well.

Didn't work right since coming out of the box

I have loved this light and been using it daily for 2 months! I appreciate its functionality and control through the app. The battery started to act flaky a few weeks ago, and it finally just stopped working completely two days ago. The battery charging light wouldn't turn off, even when I unplugged it, but it wouldn't connect to the app and it wouldn't turn on or do anything. It just glitched out. Very disappointed.

The lamp is as advertised. It is a great little lamp to simulate sunlight with a sunrise setting and alarm clock. The sound and sunrise setting can be used separately. During sunrise setting, the light does jog between levels to brighten, however, the levels are split into such detailed steps that I didn't notice the jog between stages unless I looked at it directly and waited to see each level. I use the bird song alarm sound... The sound file is only about 30 seconds long and it loops. I didn't expect any different, however they did not edit out a very specific and shrill bird and you hear that sharp bird trilling again... And again .. it's like being stuck in the shortest ground hog day. Sadly, I don't think it is enough to be a SAD lamp unless you put the light directly in your face. I use it as a preventative measure, so it is fine for me. If you have a diagnosis and need it as a healing thing, it may not be strong enough. I am waking up more refreshed and happy though. The Sunrise setting really helps with that!

I really liked this sunrise alarm, but I've only had it a couple of months and now the light continuously flickers. It's too late for a refund. I would save yourself $ unless you're ok with a product that only works for 2 months.
