Great for fine work
I know this particular saw has received a poor review from some owners. My observation at this point is that they must not know how to use a scroll saw. I have used it on 1//4 inch oak making multiple turns. As in all scroll saws, the trick is to ket the saw do the work, and move the piece through slowly. This saw has worked fine for me and will be a keeper!

Nice tool for the $... only complaint is the plastic blade guard creates a trampoline effect on smaller items...

I've used it four times. As I was adjusting the Blade Tension Knob, it disconnected from the tension spring which is housed inside the cast iron arm and inaccessible unless I can figure out a way to remove the oil bushings so I can open the arm. I was happy with the saw, but upon calling Harbor Freight, was told that by buying the saw through Amazon it is considered a third party sale and HF is not responsible. I need to take it up with Amazon. Good luck with that.

Great saw for the price and it can use both ...
I read all the reviews before buying this saw. Delivered right to my hands while I was working in the shop. Great saw for the price and it can use both types of blades pinned or unpinned. If your gonna use it for homemade items you can't beat this deal.

For an entry level saw you can't beat this one. I don't have any experence with other saws but for $85. this one is just perfect for a beginner

Great Product for the Money
Very good product for the money. I really like the variable speed control and the easy blade replacement feature. Additionally, the product is built very ridge.
