Direct fit
Direct fit and no leaks after install. Only time will tell how long it will last, but seems to be just as good as oem. Skin feel it will go a long time.

Inexpensive gasket for a critical seal between the oil filter housing and engine block
Fit perfectly. Was way more flexible and slightly thicker than the old gasket with 80,000 miles on it. Very difficult to see if oil is leaking from this joint but if it is it will get oil all over the block, power steering hoses, and everything else below. Repair while not super simple was not beyond many DIY abilities. This was installed on a 2004 BMW 330CI. This was my last shot at stopping the oil leak with the valve cover gasket and VANOS line being replaced first. I also purchased new belts figuring the ones on the car were original and glad I did. The main serpentine was old and very cracked. The idler pulley on the main belt also will need replacing, it is dry, tensioners were in great shape.I used a 1.25" open end wrench I had filing it slightly to fit the reverse thread fan clutch, worked perfect. A sharp tap with the hammer and it easy came loose. Other than removing the alternator, fan, radiator shroud, filter box to get to the oil filter housing and thus the gasket, it is a pretty straight forward job. Open the oil filter cap and let the oil drain down No need to drain the oil. You need to remove the top connection of the VANOS line to easy get the filter housing to easily move and get access to the gasket.

Good gasket, good match. Dab of rvt for placement
Perfect. If you have an inline 6 from bmw without an oil cooler, chances are good this fits. Chances are also pretty good that if you haven’t changed yours, the oil filter housing is leaking.

Not bad for the money I certainty would buy it again
So far so good, material is good quality, it fits perfectly on my 01 BMW 330i. Gave it 4 starts only because I only had this for over a month so only time will tell how durable it actually is.NOTE: if you’re doing the job yourself BECAREFUL when you are tightening the housing bolts, it’s possible to cross thread the aluminum housing block. So go easy on it.
