Surprisingly Capable Little Plane for Small Jobs
I bought the JORGENSEN 3.5" mini wood plane for light touch-up work around the house—mainly trimming door edges and cleaning up small woodworking projects—and it’s done a solid job so far. Right out of the box, it felt well-made and sturdier than I expected at this price point. The blade was fairly sharp and only needed minor adjustment to get it just right. Once tuned, it produced smooth shavings and left a clean finish on soft and medium woods. This is not a tool meant for heavy-duty planing, so if you’re expecting to flatten large boards or remove a ton of material, this isn’t it. But for tight spaces or detail work, it’s perfect. I especially liked the compact size—it fits in the palm of your hand and gives you great control for delicate jobs. A couple of small drawbacks: the blade adjustment mechanism could be a bit more refined, and it took a few tries to get the depth exactly where I wanted it. Also, the grip isn't the most comfortable for extended use, but that’s expected with mini tools like this. Overall, it’s a great little tool to keep in the toolbox for quick fixes and fine-tuning. I wouldn’t rely on it for big tasks, but for small projects, it’s more than earned its place on my bench.

Jorgensen mini plane
Small plane but perfectly formed, ideal for taking off small champhers, etc, looks well made, nicely boxed, quality tool from a top company and very good quality, at a reasonable price, blade seems very sharp, and easy to adjust, very lightweight fits nicely in your hand

Small but mighty
This small but mighty planer is perfect for all those precise and hard to reach jobs that larger planer’s would struggle with. Originally purchased to plane a few doors and there frames, after only a few minutes I have perfect functioning doors. For the size of the tool, it’s very sturdy and will last a life time. It is definitely value for money when compared to hiring a carpenter rectify the problems or install new doors. I would recommend this to anyone who’s competent in diy.

Small but perfectly formed
I bought this mini plane to cut the edge of a sticking door. The plane is small but immaculately made and the blade is easy to adjust and the tool feels as though it's built to last a lifetime. This did the job perfectly, cutting very smoothly and will prove a valuable addition to my toolkit.

Quality.
Awesome little planer. Solid, heavy, and arrived sharp. Fine adjustment is easy to do. Great for smoothing off dowels, which is what I bought it for.

Excellent mini wood plane.
Wow it really is mini but someone mentioned it's good for shaving the bottom of doors and I can confirm it's brilliant and has done the job perfectly. It's sturdy and blade is sharp and easy to adjust. I will use jojoba oil as recommended, which I use on my gardening tools.

OK but smaller than you think
Should've checked the measurements before buying. It's not just a mini plane, it's micro — about a third of the palm of your hand, way too tiny to do any job you'd want to do with a plane. Box damaged when opening so can't return, and it's well made so might be useful for some *very* small job.

Fantastic quality little tool
Wow. I was expecting to receive a hard plastic lightweight but usable plane that would last me enough time to do a couple of jobs. Boy was I surprised. I received a weighty solid metal quality plane that is built to last many years. This looks like it should cost twice as much as I paid for it. Well worth the money.

Questa pialletta è fatta molto bene, tutta in metallo, robusta, è perfetta per piccoli lavori sul legno. La profondità di taglio è regolabile e la lama è molto efficiente.

It’s a small plane but punches way above its.weight class. Use it on softer woods like pine, poplar and cedar. Although the blade is high quality, this size of planer has low inertia to really push through hardwood. Perhaps it’ll be fine rounding a corner but definitely not full blade contact on oak and maple.
