Solidly built dual direct box
Both the outside and inside of this unit look great! Heavy steel case, quality components, only a few hand soldered connections, transformer is securely glued to the circuit board. Nice diagram on top making it very clear how things are connected. Everything including the switches are CLEARLY labeled (in my opinion some aren't or you can't tell which position of the switch(s) engage a particular function). I like how the attenuation switch is reasonably well protected from getting bumped/changed during handling between gigs (some have push button switches that look like they could be easily changed by accident) Tested it and the attenuation switch operates smoothly with no noise or fussiness. Frequency response was measured to be 3 dB down at 5 Hz, almost no loss at 20 Hz; at the high end, less than 1 dB loss at 20 kHz.

Very Good, Solid Live Unit
Use this for live capture of electronic keyboards. Have used this unit in extreme EMI environments, like several hundred feet from a full power FM transmitter. No problems, no increased noise, no noticeable frequency degradation.Very solid steel case and otherwise solid construction. I'll give this one two thumbs up for live use. Best value for your dollar for this type of unit.

Very easy to use!
The DI box is easy to use, I plugged in the cable from the computer earphone connector, then plugged in the XLR cable to the audio mixer. Perfect sound from the church's sound system! Michael V. Church Audio/Video Engineer

If you need a passive stereo/dual-mono direct box, get this
Currently using to connect a Yamaha Tyros 5 keyboard, to a Midas M32 console, over an approx. 90’ real old in-built snake. Very happy with the performance so far. Sound quality is very transparent, and doesn’t seem to change the ambient noise floor. These things are very well-built and designed. I purchased a similar product from Pile Pro A couple years ago, and while the sound quality was good, and the features were identical to this, I was not impressed with the design of the switches and ground lift buttons. It did not seem like it would survive in a rough stage environment—seemed like one good kick would take off a switch. No such problem with these ART units! Because I sometimes use sets of these to create artificial line level returns along microphone channels on a snake, I needed them to be reversible, which these are. That is one serious advantage of a passive direct box over an active one.

Studio workhorse
I have a bunch of these that I’ve used for many years. Never an issue of any kind.

Great bang for buck, heavy-duty quality
Bought 2 of these to use with a live V-drums setup with 4 channels total. They seem extremely built, thick steel and quite heavy for the size. The 1/4" jacks have surface mount nuts which seem to hold up way better than the screw mount internal jacks. Sound is clean and accurate. Can't beat the price compared to Radial, Whirlwind, etc. And come on... can anyone REALLY hear a Jensen transformer in a live application?

I have a number of these units now. The are VERY well made, built like a brick and provide all the functions you need from a good DI box, i.e. though out, dB reduction, ground lift etc. A useful thing I use these for is if you have an amp modeller and do not bring an amplifier to gig, or you use the line out (with simulated speaker) of the amp, I always run them though one of these regardless if there is an XLR output or not. Many guitar amp simulators (mainly the older ones) with XLR outputs are not protected against 48v phantom power, which can damage some units or if not damage them it can severely affect the sound. Therefore my main use of this is protect my amp modeller from a bad sound engineer. I know there is no chance of sending 48v in any of my equipment using this for the sound engineer to plug his XLR cables into. Regardless of guitars and amps, you can use these for drum machines, keyboards to convert a non-balanced jack plug to a blanced output to send through very long cables. I have my own so I don't have to rely on the equipment at the gig I am going to. The nice things about this is that it is for stereo. Superb, well built device. Highly recommended!

Pagata poco e non potevo sperare fosse perfetta ma... Se si da la phantom a un canale si alimenta solo quello!!!! In situazione borderline può essere un problema---
