very good alternative to a haidilao/regular mala sauce. Low sugar but still fulfills the mala cravings. I would recommend using it for mala dry pot though, it was pretty bland for mala tang.

This sauce is delicious. It’s not as spicy as Buldak ramen noodles, but it still has a good amount of heat. I like using it to make my own mala-style soup, though it is saltier than the regular mala sauces/pastes I normally use. To bump up the spice, I mix in a little capsaicin, which works perfectly. One unexpected benefit is that it actually helped me lose weight because I kept eating tons of veggies instead of carbs because of this sauce. I sautéed my veggies, tofu, and ground turkey for extra protein with this sauce and topped it with cilantro and crushed peanuts for crunchy texture. This also pairs amazingly well with a dipping sauce I make by mixing peanut butter and sesame oil. I’ve tried it with a spicy yellow mustard and vinegar dipping sauce, and that combo is great too. I was unable to find this sauce in my local asian grocery stores so I am so thankful that Amazon carries it. I hope more VIVID KITCHEN products can become widely available because they are definitely a lifesaver for someone who is always looking for healthier food options without compromising the taste!

I used this with noodles and vegetables and liked it a lot. It has a strong mala flavor with a nice spicy/numbing kick. Easy to use for quick meals. I would buy it again.

A bit expensive but decent for a low calorie sauce!

Finally, I have my hands on this sweet mala sauce!!😘 It's not sweet, but it has the flavors of star anise and Sichuan pepper!! I love it!! It doesn't have that strong mala flavor, and it's served with vegetables and meat, making it a special meal for me while I'm dieting. The kids are still struggling, but it's a special meal for me!! It's not high in calories, so it's perfect for a special occasion!!

I’m a really big mala fan but I don’t really think this sauce taste like mala. It has that sour taste and mala flavor tho. Also It taste kinda salty…!!! But! I like the fact that I can at least have mala flavor in my food so easily and it doesn’t feel that oily!

Lots of people enjoy a touch of sweetness in their Asian food, but we definitely do not! We’re on a constant search for non-sweet oyster sauce (for pork, beef, or chicken wing recipes) and this product completely satisfies. Full-flavored and not sweet. Five stars for sure!

Good stuff, you can always add more spice. Not overly salty, I like this company and it's ingredients. I use it to make drunken noodles. Good price.
