Ken Norton is an extremely dangerous and powerful Special Forces Soldier and he is so classified that he doesn't exist - like his twin brother - Jack Norton. They both are revered and feared in the military world as the Norton Twins - snipers that never miss their target. They both joined the Special Forces and excelled fast as young military officers and were noticed by the egomaniacal brilliant researcher Dr. Peter Whitney and his "Ghostwalker Program". Ken and Jack along with other highly trained and dangerous soldiers and law enforcement officers were selected to participate in a classified psychic training program because they all had special gifts - psychic gifts. At the time none of the men knew about the little orphaned girls that Whitney bought and performed experiments on removing the brains protective filters and enhanced their psychic abilities along with other experiments - Whitney never stopped his experiments or "training operations" and always ALWAYS kept meticulous records deeply encoded. Once, they all thought that Dr. Peter Whitney was dead - murdered - now they know that it was all a camaflouge to hide him deeper in the vast network of rich powerful political people that want to run the world. Dr. Peter Whitney's ultimate goal is to produce the most powerful lethal soldier on the planet and will not stop until he completes his mission - no matter who gets hurt, dies, suffers - he will not stop. Until someone stops him. Dr. Whitney chose flower names for all the little girls and placed tracking devices in all of them. With the tracking devices he could monitor their progress no matter what mission they were on. Now Whitney has sequestered the women in a special training operation in a remote secret classified research laboratory. But the women soon realized that Whitney was starting a "breeding program". He wanted the perfect baby to train. It was all out war with the women now. The women were communicating secretly telepathically and plotting their escape. Whitney would "punish" the women. Marigold "Mari" talked her ops leader to letting her go on one last mission promising that she would submit to the breeding program. She had already been matched up with Brett but he couldn't get the job. Mari was supposed to be matched up with someone else but Whitney couldn't manipulate the two together. Things are about to heat up! H O T! I hope that you have a nice quiet place to get comfortable and be prepared to read a thriller! I encourage you to go to Audible.com and download the audiobook and allow Tom Stechschulte with his incredible bass voice "kick it up a notch "and read along. You will have chills - goose bumps and may even chew your nails with this one!!!!! Review: Another good read... but... - I liked the characters for the most part, although Ken kind of turned out to be a little bit scary in the bedroom. Still haven't decided if I liked that turn of events. But, the plot was great and I love it when previous characters pop up because I'm still invested mentally in all of them as a family type group. The battle they're in requires them to stick together. The storyline of Ken and Mari was interesting, exciting, very intense, and heartbreaking. I have a complaint though. Am I the only one confused by the lack of concern in the story and characters about who the traitor in their midst is? It just seems strange that it's mentioned when there's an attack, yet the story never even tries to ponder who it might be. I love how Whitney just gets crazier to the point where the reader wonders why he hasn't imploded. Lots of action and drama. I hope some answers to important parts of the plot get answered at some point. They seem kind if important to me.

Ken and Marigold
This is Ken Norton's story and its oh so good. I would be prepared for violence, darker storyline and it has triggers. Personally I loved the storyline, Feehan gives a real glimpse on Whitney's crazy character. In prior books Whitney is only spoken off, except book one but Feehan shows him in a different lite in this book compared yto book one. I am so happy to see Ken get his HEA. This is the fifth or sixth time Reading this story and each time it gets better. Happy Reading!!

#5 in a Great Series
Christin Feehan is a wonderful author. Her "Game" series is very imaginative and the suspense keeps you reading long after you planned to stop. If you haven't read any of the earlier books in the series, it would be helpful if you looked for earlier ones before reading this one. At least read #4 - "Conspiracy Game", which is about Jack Norton, the twin brother of the hero of "Deadly Game", Ken Norton. I don't like reading books out of order, so I would recommend you begin with the first book in the series, "Night Game" and then go on to "Mind Game" and "Shadow Game" before reading the last two. The earlier books provide background information on the Ghostwalkers and help explain how they can do the things they do. Feehan is very adept at keeping your interest, and unlike other long series, I've never been bored or felt that she should end it. One of the most different and unusual paranormals I've ever read. Great romances and lots of steamy sex as well.

Auch dieses Buch der Serie hat mich nicht enttäuscht. Es gibt zwar keine neuen Erkenntnisse bezüglich der Hintergrundgeschichte. Aber die Geschichte ist spannend und die Liebesgeschichte herzerwärmend.
