Great product, looks nice and is easy to install.
Since comfort height toilets are not made as high anymore, I needed an additional few inches. My friend had found this on-line and ordered it for her mother-in-law and it worked beautifully, so I ordered it as well and it had worked beautifully for me, as well. I had read the reviews on Amazon, some of which said that they filled it with cement first to make it sturdier. I told that to the person who installed the toilet and the toilevator and he filled it with spray foam insulation, which was a LOT llighter, easy to remove when I go to sell the apartment, and still made sure to keep the toilevator strong and steady, in case it wasn't on it's own. It worked out fine and my toilet is high enough for me now. Great product, looks nice and is easy to install.

Works as described
I needed something to raise the height of my commode due to severe arthritis and hip problem. When installed, the Toilevator made the height of my toilet seat taller than some OEM toilets that are advertised as extra tall. The riser material is very durable and sturdy. I feel very secure sitting on it (180+ lbs.). It took a little time to get used to not having to sit down so low. I put a fluffy rug in front of the commode to raise my feet a little. My only problem was finding a plumber in northwest Austin (TX) who had experience installing risers or were willing to take the time to figure it out. Finally found Plumb Masters who looked at the link (installation instructions) I sent them before they came to my home. Toilevator was installed early Dec. and I haven’t had any problems with the materials that came in the Toilevator kit or installation. I am so happy that we ran across this item on Amazon. I would recommend this Toilevator riser to anyone with similar issues.

Easy installation
It came with everything to install and raised the toilet to a more acceptable height. We installed this for someone that has mobility issues and need the toilet raised to be able to sit and stand easier using their walker. The installation was easy.

Helping spouse with back issues.
Not hard at all. My toilet flange was brass and the rods where permenently attached so I bought threaded rod coupler in the current size 3/8 inch and used those instead. Besides that, worked as planned. I also went with the waxless seals. Less mess. But the product is solid and can hold my 250 pounds, with ease. Wife is super pleased as this puts her toilet at 18". Well worth it and over 1/2 cheaper than purchasing a new toilet.

Four inch platform could make new challenges.
My only complaint is that I wish this came in a shorter size. I had to buy a little ledge to rest my feet on so I wouldn't cut off the circulation in my legs when doing my daily "paperwork". It's a 4 inch platform that your toilet sits on, raising it up & making it easier for you to rise from when you're done. It's very sturdy, so don't worry about your weight on this platform.

Don't Hesitate To Buy This!
My mother's bathroom no longer has a lingering smell of urine. I have been taking care of my mother who has dementia for a little over a year now, full time. Soon after I moved in with her I installed a toilet seat riser with arms to help her sit and get up easier. Soon after, she required adult diapers, but she is still able to go to the bathroom by herself. Now, often I smell urine every morning I go into her room. I discovered her diaper was not great at holding in the urine that happened at night. Every day I was a blood hound trying to find the smell of urine. 1. Possibly the bed. 2. She left her dirty diaper in the trash. 3. Trash can has a lingering smell after throwing away the the trash bag and diaper. 4. Urine on the floor by the toilet. 5. She was throwing her used toilet paper into the trash. After taking care of all that I noticed under the toilet seat riser it had urine. I couldn't figure out how it got there. I cleaned that up. I have back problems and removing the seat every day was not an option for me, but I did remove and clean it very well at least once a week and tried to get under as much as I could every day without removing it completely. Still a lingering smell of urine when I stepped in her room. I am not sure how I discovered the toilet elevator, but from reading the reviews someone mentioned that the seat risers installed on top of the toilet had an issue with urine getting under the seat. WHAT??Well, that was it for me. I didn't care how much it cost, I ordered it immediately and scheduled my handyman to install it as soon as it arrived. When he took the seat riser off the toilet, I wanted to throw it out the window, but I doubled bagged it and immediately threw it in the trash bin in her condo. I walked back into my mother's room and the urine smell was gone. Gone!! I could not believe it. Gone!!! I got a separate armrest that stays on the floor to help her get up. Now, once I clean up everything in the morning her bedroom and bathroom smells clean. This is the best invention. I am tall so I plan on getting one in the guest bathroom as well even though the toilet is on the taller side. Oh, it looks nice also.
