Wonderful product for anyone in the family!
What an addictive and fun toy! I was looking for something unique for our grandkids and came across these while browsing Amazon toys. These will definitely stimulate the imaginations of little ones. But the adults in our family have had just as much fun as the kiddos! They are really hard to put down once you start playing with them. There are many different brands and different sizes sold on Amazon. I recommend the smaller size as the shapes or objects created tend to be tighter and easier to manipulate whereas I've read that the larger size sets tend to fall apart depending on the size of the object you are creating. I purchased two different brands; the Veatree 308 set (this one) and the Witka 350 set which is also sold here on Amazon. Both are approx 1" inch in size, are nearly identical and very compatible with each other. Both contain very strong magnets which are located within both ends of each stick/bar. The steel balls are non-magnetic. The Veatree set includes 220 sticks, 88 steel balls, and a nice felt storage bag. The Witka set includes 186 sticks, 86 steel balls, 8 curved sticks, and 70 pieces of various shaped windows. If you are wanting to build large complex shapes like the 4-sided pyramid (see pic), you will need more than one set. I believe these two sets maximize the total volume of sticks and steel balls you can purchase on Amazon to make larger complex shapes while maintaining compatibility between different brands.

Just bought another set to add to our collection
I just bought another set of these as my son totally loves playing with them. He makes all kinds of designs and can play for a while until he creates whatever he's into. We've had them for several months and the quality is still good. I place them in a little Montessori wooden tray to keep them together.

4-Star Rating Veatree Magnetic Sticks
Didn't review the size of these prior to purchase because I didn't want to miss out on the sale. They are smaller than expected. Supervision needed for younger children as there is a potential for choking, especially the steelies. Notwithstanding, this is a terrific 150 piece set that comes with a nice storage pouch at decent price point of $15. The magnets sticks are surprisingly strong. The steelies are not magnetic. Excellent opportunity to teach about magnetism and be creative. We've used these in conjunction with magnetic tiles. As for durability, time will tell, but they seem to be built to last. Again, I'd recommend supervision due to their small size. Overall, happy with purchase. Would buy again. Stay safe. Peace.

Architect in the Making
This is a very fun, educational toy. But SHOULD NOT be used by children who would put parts in their mouth. Seems like common sense-but could be very dangerous if swallowed. My grandson gets quite creative with all his structures. I bought two sets so he has plenty of parts for his elaborate buildings.

Good toy for all ages
I got an ad for magnetic ball stick "Earth Magnets" which look really cool, but they were the raw magnets with no plastic coating. Various review on those were, bottom line, fragile/breakable stick rods. So...I wanted these for my 6 year old and myself to do together with him. He's beyond putting things in his mouth and such, but he's got heavy hands for breakable stuff 1+1=2.....The raw magnet set was $120 for 604 pc. set. So, when I spotted these Veatree 308 pc set, I bought two of them for way less and my son can play w/o worry for breakage. I'm a fan already and have been playing with them, myself. Good toy, for any age. Selah

So much fun!
I am a kindergarten teacher and I have a bucket full of these Magnetic Building Sticks Blocks Toys in my classroom. ALL my students love playing with them during indoor recess or during center rotations. The station is a favorite. I use them when I teach our magnet unit during science. Students can build things from their imagination or try and duplicate items on the page of suggested images provided by the seller. This product provides hours of fun for the child that likes to build.

Just great....
Our daughter has been on this magnet kick, and she just can't get enough of them. So we unwittingly got her a small set of these for her birthday. What they don't tell you is how addictive these little rods and balls can be... I too am now addicted to building amazing structures. And now me and our 7 year old daughter fight over who is hogging the most magnets. That aside, we started off with the small set. But those clever manufacturers include a print out of things to possibly build with the rods and balls. Guess what, the coolest thing on the printout that you really really want to build, your set doesn't have enough rods or balls to make that... So, I did what any logical parent would do; I bought myself an even larger set. There is no way to keep them separated, so instead of my daughter and I having our own sets, we have one larger communal set now, and still argue about who is hogging more. And you'll never believe what came with the bigger set... That's right, it came with a different idea printout, and the coolest, and biggest thing on the printout that I really really want to build, even with the two sets combined, I don't have enough...
