Alternative Brick Convert
We were skeptical but are apart of the Lenin subreddit. Funwhole was mentioned the most there as a good build for kids. We got several of this brands sets and let me tell ya, the leading brand better watch out! We love them far more than our leading brand sets. My 10 year old built this, the instructions are clear, it’s not complicated, it’s sturdy. The lights are adorable. The parts fit with the leading brand and are the same quality and some parts better. The design is amazing, the plants, details, flickering flames for the fire, no stickers all printed pieces are printed, just top notch.Pros: box is fantastic. Instruction book is all one book and better quality than leading brand. Design is stable and cool. Lights are awesome. Easy to build. Comparable. Great quality. Cheap!Cons: Funwhole, really, Funwhole delight day and night, who approved that name and slogan!? And the people are goofy, they don’t beat the leading brand minifigures. The building comes apart easily without breaking to make access to the three levels of the forge. There is a bedroom in the third floor, and eating area in the second, and the first floor has the workshop for the blacksmith.

Better Than Lego for Castle/Medieval Fans
Funwhole has been putting out one great set after another: top-of-the-line bricks, way more interior detailing than a typical Lego set, integrated light kits with special cable-routing pieces that don't crimp or strain the wires, beautiful boxes and manuals, and prices way lower than Lego. This forge house is beautiful inside and out and overflowing with fine interior details and exterior texture everywhere you look, except for a rather plain back side that is designed to hold the battery box. (You can also run the lights off any USB power source.) There's so much to see and build in this modestly sized building!Areas to improve? Nothing major. I would have put in yellow-tinted lights throughout to mimic candles or oil lanterns. The white daylight LED's used in a few places don't mesh with the medieval theme too well, but the building still looks beautiful lit up, and all the outside lights do have a warm glow.If you lament Lego mostly giving up on the castle theme, other than a set or two a year, Funwhole has you covered with a range of different medieval sets that will hopefully keep growing. And your dollars will take you a lot further with Funwhole than Lego. Highly recommended.

Fantastic brick set
Very easy to assemble. I have put together many Lego sets and after completing this one, I am going to buy more. Very good build quality. All of the pieces fit together nicely. Very nice design pieces throughout, such as the ability to remove a section and see inside. All pieces were in the set and I had no missing pieces. Great value for the money. Especially when you figure in the price per piece and the fact it comes with lights and brick pieces specifically made for wires to travel through easily.

Great quality!!
Amazing quality! The instructions are easy to follow and this was such a fun build. The pieces snap into place perfectly without any struggle. I also love that it comes with lights.

Easy, Well Made, Well Packaged
I was skeptical getting off brand Lego but I’m putting a theme together and Lego doesn’t have anything else to match. I tried out this brand and I couldn’t have been happier. Came with good, clear instructions. Numbered bags, same as Lego. All pieces were present and fit well. The built in lighting was just a bonus. Highly recommend.

Really great set at a great price.
There's no wire pinching in this one and the wiring was really simple. Really love the lights for the forge. Also love how big the forge area is. It's a great alternative to the one from the other brand. The printed blueprint pieces are awesome, and it comes with so many different weapons and tools. Highly recommend.

Almost a LEGO
Model is almost a LEGO. Bricks are same but feel different. Having difficulty getting roof attached and did not build with lights installed. I felt diagrams for lights were not real clear so will try again in future. That said, it is a very nice looking brick kit. No missing pieces.

Good quality, bricks click well, compatible with Lego
Ordered this with decent expectations. I have heard that Funwhole makes a good product, so I was hopeful going into the build. Overall, I was not disappointed! There was one "wrong" brick (see first pic below), as one 1x6 tile provided was slightly the wrong color (but the right size and still in the correct color family), but that is a minor issue since it was still the right piece.Funwhole's version of minifigures are interesting. They're less blocky than official Lego ones, but be warned they are all-assembly required, which is a little futzy for big hands like mine.Overall, the bricks work well. They have good click, good fit, are easy to put in place without having to force them, don't let go too easily. The lighting kit is pretty nice for this - Funwhole has their own design of bricks for the LED wiring to go through, which hides most of the wiring while making it simple to put in. Overall, for the price (which is about half of what Lego would charge for a set this size), it is a very good deal. Makes a BIG set (almost a foot tall) with lots of details, nice part usage, some fun designs, and lots of play-ability. Doors that open, furniture to let the figures interact with, lots of detail bits, and despite the lighting that runs through the floors, each floor still comes off to let you access the interior of the building! Don't know how the lighting connections will hold up with repeated separation, but this is an awesome build for both kids and AFOLs (Adult Fans of Lego) - lots of play options while still being a nice shelf display piece.
