Chef Craft Cake Tester

Function well in checking cake, cupcake, etc. for doneness. Easy cleaning with good value for the money and seems durable. Has a storage case for safety which I like.

Sure beats finding a tooth pick to test. Remembered my mom had one and decided to get one myself. Works great and like the storage sleeve. Could be subjective, but I think it gives me more consistent results.

This is a cake tester. It tests cakes. And pies. It works very well as it is a little metal stick that you poke into a cake or a pie to test its doneness, and to this extent it is exactly what it appears to be. If you need a cake tester, this is one.

I recently made a 3D cake and this tester worked perfectly. It is made well and worked great.

I'm a pastry chef by trade, so having a good thermometer and a cake tester is essential! I'm glad to report this one has been great! Cake testers have two parts: a small metal pick, and a little handle at the end for use. This is the same, but it comes with a little holder and a nicer rubberized handle. Meaning this one is much harder to lose! Its also a good size, nice length but not too long, fits in my chef whites pocket perfectly. The better handle part is great when your in a rush and just need to grab it and go. It's also more sturdy then the typical cheap versions. The metal pick is a little thicker than most, the handle is not too large but perfect for fingers to grab. The whole thing is simple and easy to use, and clean Not much else to say, it's just a simple product that works better than most versions!

I didn't realize these are still made. I was previously using toothpicks to test baked goods to see if done, and this is a wonderful alternative to using toothpicks. It's the same thickness, easy to hold on to, easy to clean, and has a cover to protect it while in the silverware drawer. Really happy to have found this!

The handle is made of soft but sturdy and reliable plastic. The stainless steel rod is a little thicker than other models. The cover is simple and provides good support.
