Braun Combimax K 700 Food Processor

How everyone doesn't have one of these I'll never know! It does EVERYTHING! It chops, blends, purees, mixes, grates, slices, kneads, EVERYTHING! I use it for making pancake batter, smoothies, breadcrumbs, grating big batches of cheese, slicing veg, pureeing baby food, making flavoured butter, blending soup, mincing chicken and beef for certain recipes and it can also be used for kneading dough and mixing cake batter but I have my kenwood chef for that. The two different sized bowls/compartments are great for saving on washing up but all the extra attachments only fit the bigger one. The smaller one only has blades. I would suggest you get a small box to hold all the extra attachments as I don't like storing them in the main bowl/compartment and having to take them all out before use.

Firstly, may I suggest that you disregard the useless review by 'Mark Eaton "Mark"' who gave this product a score of 1 without even trying it out! His review was completely out of order and helped nobody. I took delivery of this processor recently and, as expected of a product from Braun, I was not surprised to discover that it performs extremely well. This is the first processor I've used that is fitted with dual mixing bowls but, I must say I like the convenience. Please note that, only one of the bowls can be used at a time, and there is a safety mechanism built into the machine to ensure this is achieved. The (very sharp) large mixing blades come with a purpose-made safety shield. The spiral mechanism built into the bowls and motor block ensure that the bowls are held firmly in place, with no chance of either of them disengaging whilst in use. The instruction booklet covers several languages and contains a common page at the front to identify the various parts of the machine. I don't usually like instructions that cover several languages but, this one is an exception. It is clear and concise. When the processor arrived by post, I must admit to being surprised by the size of the carton! It was enormous! However, upon unpacking the machine, it became clear that the size was needed to accommodate the excellent packaging to protect the processor. No way would it have been damaged in transit. The fitted power plug is of the two-pin continental design and an adaptor was included for UK sockets. I would have preferred that a UK plug was already fitted, but this was no great deal and I have replaced it accordingly. I am not employed by Braun! Well done Braun.

I purchased this to replace a well used and much loved Braun food processor which eventually gave up the ghost after 25 years - switch failed. Having read reviews of a range of replacements I was concerned by how many reviewers referred to reliability, longevity (or rather lack of it!) and performance issues. I was puzzled by the lack of reviews and availablility of Braun processors (they are apparently not retailed in the UK any more) but eventaully tracked this down on Amazon. All the user reviews were very positive (apart from one user who marked it down because he didn't use it very much!) so decided to stick with what we knew and order another Braun. We are delighted we did so. It workes beautifully and is very quiet and smooth in operation. We have yet to try all it does but so far it has handled all basic food preparation with aplomb. This was shipped direct form Germany by Avides Media. It arrived very quickly and was well packaged and protected. Both product and supplier are highly recommended.

This is my 1st food processor so I do not have anything to compare it with. At 1st I was going the same way as a review I had read where the person sent her food processor back. It actually took the combined efforts of myself and my husband to get it working. The machine came with a 2 pronged plug with no instructions on how to adapt it to our 3 pronged plug system. I phoned the free number given for problems but being the weekend nobody was there and a recorded message said what to do with shavers which had a 2 pronged plug but nothing about food processors with one. My husband suggested we try his shaver plug and it worked. I have still not used all the machines attachments, so this is what I have found with what I have tried. I have found dough and cake making OK but not so good as by hand - the final product is not so "airy" and my family commented on the fact. Where the Victoria Sponge was concerned, since brilliant results can be obtained using soft margarine and mixing all the ingredients in together I shall continue to use this hand method and save myself on the extra washing up which using the machine entailed. I found grating chocolate with the processor brilliant (I sprinkle the chocolate on top of milky hot chocolate), as was slicing, shredding and grating vegetables but alas, the citrus press was useless. I tend to buy 6 lemons at a time, juice them all at once and then freeze them in small containers and use when wanted. I thought it would save me so much time using the citrus press but no. After trying to juice 2 lemons and a lot being left behind in the lemon which I ended up going onto the manual press to finish, I reverted back to my manual press and found I did the remaining 4 lemons in less time than it took me to do the 2 on the machine!! The ridges on the juice press do not seem to be deep enough to do the job. Another thing I have found the processor good for is making pastry crumbs. I tend to make these in bulk and keep them in the fridge. When wanted simply weigh out the required amount and add the water at that point. The manual does not tell you how to do this so follow the instructions for making pastry dough without adding the water.

This is our second Braun Combimax and we only required the new one because the old fittings were cracking and becoming unservicable after 15 years. The base unit is still working perfectly and I see no reason that the new one will not last just as long. Delivery was very good.

Après bien des hésitations suite à moult comparaisons de robots culinaires proposés ça et là sur le web, mon choix s'est arrêté sur ce "petit grand" appareil et je ne regrette vraiment pas mon achat. Ce dernier tient peu de place dans la cuisine et offre des fonctions qui n'ont rien à envier aux autres produits, et ce pour un prix des plus compétitifs. Le blinder est, en plus, un gros atout pour les jus de fruits/légumes frais, et autres préparations à boire, ce qui n'est pas toujours proposé sur les autres appareils consultés. Ce robot est facile à nettoyer et léger à manipuler, avec une fermeture très sécurisée. Son maniement devient vite "instinctif", ce qui est plaisant lorsqu'on aime cuisiner sans avoir systématiquement la notice sous le nez... Enfin, la livraison et a été très rapide et l'emballage soigné. Je rejoins en tout point l'avis de John, dont le commentaire m'avait aidée à porter ma préférence sur le Braun K-700 et l'en remercie au passage. Un "cinq étoiles" à mon sens bien mérité :)

Ich habe mir überlegt welche Küchenmaschine ich möchte. Ich wollte eine, die alles kann und die Arbeiten so leicht wie möglich macht und die meisten Arbeiten auch übernimmt. Dann bin ich auf diese gestoßen. Ich mache mir öfter mal ein Pesto mit Basilikum, Pinienkernen und Olivenöl oder knete einen Teig für Kuchen oder Brot oder muss Kartoffeln, Karotten klein schneiden. Alles ist damit einfacher als es per Hand zu machen. Die Maschine ist auch leicht zu bedienen. Das einzige was stört und nicht so gut ist. Wenn die Stücke manchmal nicht groß genug sind oder nicht schnell genug zu den Messern kommen und zerkleinert werden, bleiben sie zwischen Deckel und Raspelscheibe hängen und werden nicht mit zerkleinert. Das ist nervig weil man diese per Hand rausnehmen muss und nicht mit verwenden kann. Entweder man isst die übrig gebliebenen Stücke selbst oder man versucht die Überbleibsel mit dem nächsten großen Stück dazwischen zu schummeln, in der Hoffnung, dass es diesmal mit zerkleinert wird. Manchmal klappt es. Vorteil der Maschine ist, dass man alle Teile in die Spülmaschine tun kann. Auch die Messer können in die Spülmaschine und bisher sind sie noch genauso scharf wie am Anfang und ich habe die Küchenmaschine jetzt seit über 2 Jahren. Ich habe die Rezension bewusst erst später geschrieben weil es manchmal Zeit braucht um Dinge zu beurteilen / bewerten :-) Alles in allem ist sie mir eine große Hilfe in der Küche. Ich würde sie, trotz oben beschriebenem Manko, weiterempfehlen.

Beh che dire ho comprato questo prodotto per mia nonna che utilizza questo apparecchio da quando la conosco. Il vecchio era così usurato che non si vedevano più le scritte e così ha voluto aggiornare il parco macchine. Anche io che ce l'ho lo uso tantissimo per tritare prezzemolo, fare il parmigiano da dei bei pezzi grossi, fare l'impasto di pizze e torte. Non riuscirei a stare senza e infatti è sempre in bella vista su piano della cucina. Si pulisce in un attimo ed è dotato di tanti attrezzi per una buona riuscita di tutto. Per dire, c'è anche lama per fare le patatine fritte.
