This stuff is neat! The chunk I received is shaped like a rock and roughly silver dollar size. It's super lightweight and you can see through it. I've always wanted to hold this space age stuff in my hand and now I can. If you're into fascinating science, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this. Great for kids for show and tell at school or for any collector of space related stuff.

Exactly as advertised. One piece was larger than expected. It’s neat stuff. Very entertaining and I look forward to doing light experiments along with water and other chemical reactions.

I first saw Aerogel online and thought it was the coolest thing ever. I took a chance and bought it on Amazon because it was the cheapest price. I'm so glad I did. It's even cooler in person than I imagined! There are some descent sized pieces with a lot of tiny ones, but the good sized pieces totally make it worth it. You have to get it!

I purchased this for my 4th grade son to take for GT show and tell. When it arrived we were disappointed as the one larger piece was cracked in multiple places and since aerogel is so brittle, it fell apart when removed from the bottle. Why 5 stars then you ask? When I submitted feedback to the seller they actually took the time to personally reply, explain, and apologize. They then refunded the purchase. We had not asked for anything. So I turned around and ordered this from them again! Great customer service deserves repeat business. And the product is one of the coolest things you will ever hold!

I got this to use & integrate into some custom jewelry. There's multiple pieces in the collection that are large enough to use in my design. It's exactly as it was described and should work out well for what I'm making. Good purchase.

This item is amazing, it arrived and it was about the size of a ping pong ball. I’m a teacher and cannot wait to bring this into the classroom.
