Good Problem Solver
I couldn't get Apple Car Play on my Colorado to work with my iPhone 17. I did some research and learned that the cable needed to be "MFi Certified". Since these are advertised as "MFi Certified", I made the purchase and "Apple Car Play" connected right away with one of these cables. Also, they appear to be fairly sturdy, which is important, since the cable will always be in my truck.

CARPLAY!!! It works with this cord !!
Got the new iPhone and the cord that comes with it of course doesn’t connect in my car (I need USB-a ). I tried several cords I had lying around and CarPlay would not work. I went through all the settings on the car and phone - never occurred to me that it was an issue with ALL THE CORDS. I decided to try this- and CarPlay immediately connected. It’s worth getting MFi certified, for sure.

Will NOT Charge MacBook Air Even Though It Says it Will
On advice from an IT specialist, I made sure to get an 'Apple MFi Certified' charger to use for my MacBook Air. I couldn't get just one cord easily, I could only find three packs that were 'Apple MFi Certified'. Total waste of money. I've tried all two cables, and none of them will actually charge my Air. It barely warrants a 1 star review. The only thing I can say good is that while I was using the cords with my Air it didn't actually totally die. But they didn't charge it, either, just transferred enough power to avoid it dying. I'd return the cords except I gave one to a friend who has an iPhone that uses them, so I don't have all three. Hopefully it'll work for her. And maybe they work for phones, but they definitely do NOT work for MacBook Airs despite the product description specifying they do.
