This 30L pack is perfect for weekend travel or a light carryon for any 2 day trip. It’s roomy and durable with quality zippers and has plenty of compartments.

I bought this for a 40 day trip around Europe and I can say it was worth every penny, size is just right for travel, the build quality is great, the materials feel premium and it has so many pockets that it’s easy to organize your stuff, also the straps are really convenient and easily storable.

This bag is excellent and holds way more than it appears. I got the 30L size and it is perfect for 3 to 4 days of clothes. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because the backpack straps are a little stiff and are not as comfortable as the straps on some other backpacks that I have. I really like that the straps can be stowed away when not in use and the luggage pass-through feature. The bag looks great also. It is my new go to bag for short trips now.

It’s the best bag ever, all the compartments are so useful, the burnt orange color is great. It’s super sturdy, even water resistant. 10/10 purchase!

Took on a 5 day trip and it was a perfect companion and easily handled everything I personally needed. I have the 10L camera sling too. A perfect combo. I owned the Cotapaxi Alpa 42 and it's very similar style to the Belroy - but just TOO LARGE and cumbersome.

PERFECT TRAVEL BAG- I initially got the Bellroy 30L that expands to 38L, but it was too large to fit under an airline seat without difficulty once packed. After a TON of research, this bag was found to be the best option. Typically, this will be paired with a Nomatic wheeled carry on. This Bellroy 30L can hold a LOT of clothing. So an extra pair of shoes, toiletry bag, jeans or long pants and heavier, larger items will go in the rolled carry on. This bag will hold socks, underclothes, shirts, shorts, computer (has a sleeve for my Apple 15" Macbook Air), electronics items (charger, headphones). I can probably get enough for a 7 day trip in these two bags, plus I have a 2.5L Bellroy sling that perfectly holds passport, wallet, cash, mini flashlight, gum, mints, small items, etc. For me this is the absolute perfect combination. Hope this helps someone else find the perfect combination. Go to Bellroy's website and check out the full functionality and design of this particular piece. Yes, over $200 is a nice investment, but a great value and worth every penny from my perspective. (As long as you fill this bag to the max and/or overstuff, it can work as an under the seat carry on on most major airlines, but maybe not budget airlines). It can also double as a backpack for your trip once you get to your arrival destination.

I’ve had this bag for about a month now and have used it on two 2-3 night trips, including a 3-night trip to Mexico City I took with no other bags. There is a lot of space overall and for the most part each compartment has dedicated space to expand into. However, there are a few things that are missing or not quite perfect. I didn’t think the lack of a water bottle holder would be that big of an issue to me, but it was such an easy layup that Bellroy missed in this case. I recently dropped a water bottle on the floor resulting in it cracking because I had the bottle in my coat pocket and not in a water bottle holder on the backpack. Another small issue is the zipper puckering/waves that appear on the top outside pocket, even when it is only ~75% full. The bottom outside pocket is also a little see-through if packed out fully. I’m generally a really big fan of Bellroy and the quality of the materials (especially the zippers) is evident on this bag as usual. I think it’ll find a role in my travel rotation, but if you think you’ll need a water bottle pocket you should probably go with a different bag.
