Minimalist Rucking Pack
I love this thing. Perfect size with it being overly bulky. Holds just enough weight for me. Great value for the money. Definitely feels better bare or a regular t-shirt vs over a sweat shirt. And the quality is solid.

Great weight balance, but shoulder straps rub uncomfortably
I bought this weighted vest to level up my walks and workouts, and while the build is solid and the weight is well-distributed, I ran into one major comfort issue. When it arrived, it looked tough and well-made—exactly what you’d expect from Go Ruck. The materials feel durable, and the weight plates slide in easily. I was impressed with how evenly the weight sat across my upper body. It didn’t strain my neck or shoulders, which is something I’ve dealt with in other vests. But after about 10–15 minutes of movement, the shoulder straps started rubbing against my inner armpit area, and it got really uncomfortable—especially on bare skin or with a short-sleeve shirt. It feels like the straps are just a little too wide or not shaped to contour away from that sensitive area. ✅ What I like: Excellent weight distribution—no neck pressure Sturdy and rugged build Adjustable fit for different body types ⚠️ What could be better: Shoulder straps chafe the inner arm area during movement Padding could be softer or better contoured for comfort Would I buy it again or recommend it? Maybe—with a caveat. If you plan to wear it over long sleeves or just for short sessions, it could work. But for longer use or warmer weather, it might not be the most comfortable. Overall, the Go Ruck vest nails the function and build quality, but misses on comfort in the shoulder design—especially for extended wear.

Built really well, have used for about 4 months.
I actually think the quality of this Ruck Plate Carrier is outstanding. I used 3- 10 lb weights and honestly this is a great workout. My shoulders do get sore after 2 miles and I start playing with the straps. I do plan to try one that has 1 weight plate on the chest/front. I have heard that gives great balance and transfers the weight. I got this back in June and use a few times a week. Very happy.

It compliments my GoRuck 4.0 25L
I use this a lot when I need to go light for one reason or another. The 4.0 I own I go heavier. This Plate Carrier I keep 20lbs always. The 4.0 I go higher. I like the simplicity when I want to go light…I just grab the carrier and go.. Also it is great in the colder weather if you are wearing an oversized jacket so you can wear the carrier underneath. For me it was worth spending the money. Also, I prefer this over my 4.0 especially when I ruck while mowing the lawn. A lot less touching your body which in the summer heat is helpful.

Does what its intended for
So far so good. Sits higher up on my back than some other plate carriers I've tried and doesn't really slip down in use. I only hike with it and don't run so I can't speak to its performance during a run. It took a few uses and adjustments until I got it right for me. I've used it with a back pack over it to carry things (there is no storage on this carrier) or with a chest pack.

Chest Straps Not Adjustable, Ok Quality
I received this and a 20lb plate a few days ago and have done a couple treadmill sessions with it. The chest strap is incredibly difficult to change. Only one of the loops for the chest strap is the correct amount of fabric. The rest lay flat on the arm straps so there is no fabric to use to clip the chest strap pieces. My hands were red and in a large amount of pain after fighting with the chest straps for almost an hour last night. I wouldn’t recommend this for other women because of that. Otherwise, the arm/shoulder straps dig into the side of my chest, but I’m hoping this will lessen as I use it more (softening the strap material). Is it great? No, definitely not. Is it good enough for my purposes (training for heavy thru hike backpack)? Yes. Is it ok for the price? Yes. Is it easy to use? Not if you want to adjust your straps for a proper fit.

The GORUCK Ruck Plate Carrier 3.0 has very effective design and very durable quality. It holds the 30lbs Ruck plate perfectly. It caught many attentions when I am doing Road Marching and performing Weighted Vest Exercises. It Is value for money. I am very glad with the purchase. Thank you very much.
