Good phone for seniors ❤️
This phone is perfect for seniors. Easy to use. Decent size and contain all the functions a senior need. I bought for my mom (85 year old) and she love it.

Poor quality !!!
I like its design for me with myreal bad eyesight. I always hear everybody, who I talk to my. However, Half of the time the people, cannot hear me at all. After four months stated malfunctioning. It does not ring in any setup, no ringtone when receiving a call or a message. If I do not watch to screen, I never know that someone is calling.me. Regardless, I just purchased another one, hoping it will last longer. Two other brand phone quit working also in about one half of a year. What a technology these days !!!

Early impressions
My pre-use assessment: Design layout- 5stars, Readability keys and screen- 5stars, Tactile feel of keys- 5stars, Gen. impression- 5stars. Best provider for this phone (in CT) is T-Mobile. Poss. downsides: the rear cover needs to be carefully pried loose from bottom slot. The little pegs which hold it in place will pop-up as you lift the sides slowly. One other thing to note: the power adapter cord and its base-socket are not very sturdy--plug has to be inserted carefully to avoid cracking the connector. This is in contrast to the seemingly sturdy build of the phone. The 'user-pamphlet' is extremely limited in operational content. Re: the upgraded battery, if left off the charging cradle, it will gradually discharge over ~12days, even if the phone is not used. I don't know whether this is typical for cellphones (?). **NOTE** If you want to use standard US date format, you'll have to select this in Settings. Default setting is Day/Month/Year. This is the perfect phone design for me. I don't want a smartphone. Just tried the T-Mobile nanoSIM card and all's well. Finally, I want to note that the marketer of the Artfone line "SZ CoolcellTechnology" was exceptionally courteous in my one contact with them. Jun19,2025 Update:: Note that if you remove and replace the battery (for a full reset) you will see a black screen, "Gladys, my phone won't turn on" Phone is not dead. Just hold-down the Red 'off' button for 5-seconds and the phone will restart. Enter correct date.

Sturdy, easy-to-use phone for elderly parent.
Very good phone for my elderly mother with Alzhemiers. Big buttons and a simple layout is perfect for her. She struggles with smart phones. Its clear and always keeps a solid connection. The phone seems very sturdy.

Great phone but freezes in cold weather
For my mother. Perfect for a senior citizen, although programming is still a challenge for her. Update. The screen freezes in cold weather. Live in Vermont. Buyer beware. Poor mother is disappointed. Bought in June so could not check on the cold weather performance until after the return window expired.

DONT BUY ARTFONE!
This is the worst phone I've ever owned and I've owned dozens. It keeps dropping calls and the quality of the audio is so bad I must end many calls. My advice... DON'T BUY AN ARTFONE!

Perfect and simple
Received it today and it’s a perfect simple phone for my father that’s 87 years young. Large buttons and loud speakers both in and out. Works on T-Mobile

missed the mark
The idea behind the A400 Silver senior phone is great, but the execution falls short. The large buttons, loud volume, charging dock, and SOS feature are all genuinely helpful and clearly designed with seniors in mind. Unfortunately, day-to-day use is frustrating enough that it’s hard to recommend. The biggest issue is reliability. The phone is slow to respond, menus lag, and basic actions like opening contacts or making a call take longer than expected. The interface isn’t very intuitive, even for a “dumb phone,” and setting things up required more trial and error than it should. Call quality is hit or miss—sometimes clear, other times muffled or distorted. The camera is extremely basic (even for 2MP), and the talking clock and voice prompts sound robotic and inconsistent. Battery life is decent, but not as strong as advertised if the phone is used regularly. This phone might work for someone who only needs occasional calls and emergency access, but for seniors who rely on their phone daily, the performance issues make it frustrating. With better software optimization and reliability, this could be a solid product—but as it stands, it feels unfinished.
