Hard to find features and function for an optic in this Price range
This optic has almost all the bells and whistles you could want in a LPVO and it’s a ridiculously low price. It feels very high quality, has great clarity for an optic in the $200 price range . Tactile clicks on the turrets and First Focal Plane use to only be available on scopes starting at $700-$800 just a few years ago. It has an illuminated reticle ( it could be brighter IMO) Comes with a sun shade and flash kill ( they can not be used at the same time) It’s on the larger size of the scale compared to other LPVOs . The clarity is very good and the adjustable parallax lets you adjust your focus to close up objects even on the x8 power . I would say the glass in this scope is on pair with the lense technology from an $800-$1000 scope from 5-6 years ago . Is it perfect? I would say no but it gives you alot for your money compared to other options on the market. The illumination is not daylight bright on the higher magnifications but it’s like using a red dot optic when on 1x power . If your looking for an interesting scope with great features at an entry level red dot price this is a great choice but if your use to using high end glass this may not be the optic for you.

Great scope!
Clear lens, great eye relief, best budget lpvo. Comes with scope rings and pretty much everything you need to use right out the box! Though I bought cantilever scope mount to use with ar platform. Illumination is really good. It feels sturdy and high quality. I have a sig sauer lpvo 1-6 and it's on par with build and quality. I would definitely recommend buying this lpvo!

Interesting different scope
I haven’t taken it out yet so I cannot speak to it holding zero. I have a delta Stryker and a vector continental I can compare this too. This is a chonker. It’s like a full size scope had a baby with a LVPO. It’s a 34mm scope diameter I believe. The eye box I will say is rather atrocious for 1x but I don’t expect much at $180. Glass is clear. 1x is pretty close to 1x. It is heavy. I don’t doubt I will likely be able to take a few hits. The red optic is not very bright or daytime bright. It does not compare to the Stryker not even close. I would still prefer the continental 1-8 over this because of size and weight and red optic is better even though it’s second focal plane. I would say budget under 200 get this, under 300 get the vector.

Discoveryopt 1x8
Scope is clear, objective works good. But at night on the light up reticle still has a flare around it. Have other people look at it still the same not as bad the other one. Maybe due to the adjustable objective. The discovery opt 1x6 does not have it.It is not adjustable adjective Otherwise tracks good great scope for the money. Haven't mounted on a 6.5 Grendel for hog hunting Would be perfect if not for the flare around the reticle On settings above Four-power.

Buy direct
Great scope, the rings took longer to ship so I bought others. Amazon doesn't take the promos and their shipping sucks, buy it direct

Bad Choice
I purchased this scope on May 26, 2025. I know it is only a $200 scope but I wanted to try for a young person's AR. Scope prices are coming down and this is a FFP scope so I will give it a try. At this time I have two issues with the scope: • The ocular will focus on 1 power but if I zoom to 8 power ocular is out of focus. • When I turn on illumination and zoom to 8 power the red illumination flairs and is an issue. I have sent a request into Discovery Optics to have repaired if they answer and send me an RMD number. I purchased the same type of scope from Arken for $349. Arken EP-8 this is a great product and I should have put $149 additional dollars into an Arken scope. Lesson learned. Also note this item only has a 30 day return policy.

Good value
Very clear glass one to eight is just right for most of my use. Really like having an adjustable objective, very good quality and has held up very well.

Too much weight and too-tight adjustmennts
This is a very solid scope, and will likely weight mote than your gun. This may be an "advantage" since the magnification, illumination, and objective rings are almost impossible to move without leverage. The illuminated reticle has a huge amount of flare, and seems to have only 2 settings, neither of which is useful. Be aware that this scope requires 34mm rings, a point that I may have missed or simply was not there. The turrets are great, for what that's worth.
