Perfect weight
Been using eating hammers since I started many years ago and this for me is the best one by far, perfect weight and has a longer handle that for me is the perfect hammer!

Disappointing quality control and storage
I was very disappointed with the ESTWING AL-PRO 14oz hammer I received. The steel claw has significant surface rust, a manufacturing defect where the v-notch does not reach the bottom, and is asymmetrical. Additionally, there is a dent on one side of the claw, and the steel head shows signs of prior use. While the design is sound—particularly the magnetic nail starter and lightweight aluminum handle—the poor condition of this hammer means I will be returning it. I would not recommend purchasing this hammer from Amazon, as I suspect their storage practices contributed to these issues. I hope to find a better-quality version elsewhere with proper quality control.

Brilliant light hammer. Which feels like an Estwing
Nice weight, hammer works well. Feels like an estwing, unlike other hammers I've tried out. Claw a little shorter than a standard framing hammer. The last hammer I'll use before retirement?

This is a great hammer for framing. Not so much for siding. When framing, it is easy to use all day long and drives nails easily and does not slide off even at an angle as the chimping does its job well.

I'm a carpender so I use my hammer regularly and this is better than any hammer I have ever used before. Super light but hits like a tank! Well worth the money I paid for it if it stands the test of time.

Without a doubt absorbs vibrations! Head is large so I find it great for framing but not the finer things but you might find it different. It’s a great hammer

At first, I was a little concerned with the aluminum being too soft. As most of you know, scaffolders are REALLY hard on our gear. Out of the box, it seems really heavy, more than it’s 14 ounces. Happy to report, after swinging it for 12 hrs, I can’t be any happier with my purchase. Lightweight, delivers a concentrated hit with minimal scarring on the aluminum from deflection and side hitting.
