Built to last, at least that's how it feels after several months of use
This feels like a really durable hot water bottle. The rubber is thicker than any I have owned in the past. As a result, it holds the heat for a very long time. I am a big guy, and I put this behind my back and feel totally confident sitting back in my recliner. Great for my horribly arthritic low back.

Nice product
I didn't see any review at the time of purchase, so I hesitated to buy it, but took a chance and glad I bought it. It is exactly as described, as you see in the picture. I fill with water of temperature right before boiling, and it stays very warm for about 30 minutes, and stay somewhat warm for additional one hour or so. I've been using microwave heat pad, and heat on those only last for about 20 mintes, so wanted something that lasted longer. Cover is very nice and soft and the best part is you can insert your hands there. I find it such a unique and great idea. Also it is very easy to fill water. I like it. Glad I bought it. Took one star out because I wished the heat lasted just a bit longer, but I still like it.

This keeps the water hot a long time!
I'm one of those people who is always cold and plug in hot pads have a lot of limitations and aren't easy to adjust underneath covers. My on demand water heater is set at 130 degrees. I filled this up around 9pm and it was still lukewarm the next morning at 6 am. My grandson spent the night and he snuggled with it all night and wants me to get him one. Easy to move around to warm up all the cold spots in bed and then put in the coldest spot. I will also use for heat on my back. It doesn't leak and is easy to close the lid. I watered some houseplants with the water the next day so I wouldn't waste the water. The top makes a nice little spout for that. I'm totally happy with this.

Thick rubber no smell
The Cadillac of hot water bottles. Thick rubber. Large cap. Absolutely NO smell. And you get 2 for a great price. Perfect cause you know one will vanish when you need it and Walmart doesn't sell them FYI.

Soothing...
Better, more natural than electric heat. Fill it with hot water from the tap, wrap it in a pillow case and melt away those muscle aches. Stays warm for a long time. Sturdy construction and good seal- no leaks. So far, perfect. :-)

some plusses, some minuses -- the cover is useless
I bought this for the purpose of easing arthritis pain in my hand. Using it with the cover, however, is useless because the cover is soooo thick that you feel very little warmth. I tried it without the cover, and it was fine (same effect, basically, as your standard drugstore hot water bottle). The shape, of this hot water bottle, however, is not ideal for the hand. I imagine, however, that it would be great for, say, abdominal pain relief. In that regard, it is better than your standard drugstore hot water bottle because it covers a larger surface area.Depending on your heat tolerance, you just need to be careful about how hot the water is that you fill it with; you might also want to make sure you either have a layer of clothing underneath it OR use a light towel or something to protect the skin. Also: I'm able to get water that's quite hot from my tap (as long as I let it run for a bit), so that's what I used. Since this was adequate, I haven't used boiling water from my teapot -- seems like an unnecessary risk because the hot tap water did the trick. I recomment caution here ... perhaps heating your water to just under the boiling point. One more cautionary note: be extra careful, especially when trying to fill the hot water bottle to the max -- if you hold it to fill it, do NOT set it down on the counter or whatever to screw on the lid as hot water fill pour out of the top on to your hand. Either don't fill it all the way ... or hold the hot water bottle aloft while screwing the lid on.
