I love that it glides smoothly through the fabric, which is essential when working with sails.
It's been a game-changer for my sailing needs. The kit comes with everything you need for quick repairs, making it incredibly handy. The waxed thread is strong and durable, and I love that it glides smoothly through the fabric, which is essential when working with sails.I primarily use it for patching up my sails, and the needle is just the right size for getting into tight spots. Whether it’s a small tear or reinforcing seams, this kit has made my repairs straightforward and efficient. The waxed thread doesn’t fray easily, so I feel confident that my patches will hold up over time.I’ve also found it useful for my pool cover. After a season of exposure to the elements, it needed some TLC. The kit worked perfectly for stitching up small rips, and the wax helps prevent future wear. I appreciate that it’s versatile enough to tackle both my sailing gear and pool maintenance.Overall, I highly recommend the T.W. Evans Cordage Wax Sail Kit. It’s a must-have for any sailor or pool owner looking for a reliable, easy-to-use repair solution. This kit has saved me time and money, and I’m really impressed with its quality!

Great product
I used this to repair a sail after it was torn in a storm. It was easy to use and worked well. It actually got us through the sailing season so we missed only a minimum time while I was repairing the sail.

I'm not using it for sewing sails
I got this to whip the ends of rope to keep it from fraying. The string is a good weight and holds together well, the needle is strong enough for what I am doing so overall pretty happy witb it. I did get other string colors too so I can color code the ropes and I would say thisnis the most waxy sting for better or worse will depend on what you are doing with it.
