Bought for a gift, well recieved.
I did a lot of research online before buying this, it was a gift for a friend who I knew drank Bourbon, but not much else about his tastes. I did lots of research and the market was very confusing with so many options. This came out in my opinion as the best option when it came to value for money -v- quality without spending the earth. It also seemed to have the best wide ranging qualities to please a bigger range of palates.In the end it came and I was very impressed with the look of the bottle with drippy wax seal at the lid which gave it a unique and unusual quality compared to its competitors, it felt like a nice gift.The recipient was thrilled with it and commented that this was a brand they would buy too when they wanted to treat themselves so it was a hit all round.

Very nice but not the best!
I've become a big bourbon fan and still trying loads others. My favourite ones are Gentleman Jack, Bulleit and Devils Cut. I've tried many others but I had wanted Makers Mark for a while and when it was on offer I decided I'd buy it. It is a very nice drink but not the best out there, the taste isn't strong and I drink all my bourbon with Coke Zero but tried straight before hand, a double shot of this and some coke makes it hard to taste it as others you know you've got whisky in there. If you haven't tried this then it's worth a shot but I'd definitely recommend the 3 I listed as my favourites. Got myself Wild Turkey 101 as well but not yet opened it.
