After reading reviews of some other brands and the installation problems encountered, I was almost reluctant to buy any router as I am not all that tech-savy. However, I wanted to replace my Spectrum-supplied router and stop paying monthly rent forever. I found that TP-Link's installation instructions were simple, clear, and best of all, they worked. Getting the router up and running was no problem and I soon was having internet service on two towers and two iPads. The only real problems I encountered were with trying to get my Roku box and Ring doorbell connected to the internet. The problem was my wi-fi password. HELPFUL HINT: when you set up the new wi-fi site, you will need to create a password, as you don't just automatically use your old site. When creating your password, use only letters and numbers, NO special characters like ##, etc. For some reason Roku and Ring, did not recognize the password. I contacted Ring for help, Ring finally passed me off to TP-Link and Walter, a very patient and helpful rep led me through all sorts of steps, and finally mentioned the password problem. I changed the wi-fi password to only letters (Caps are OK) and numbers and had no more problems and got Ring and Roku up on internet in no time. This problem may happen with some other apps; don't take that chance. Letters and numbers only. I should mention, there was no attempt to get me to buy into a multi-year security program like some people have complained about some other brands. I'm not sure, but I think this router is faster than the Spectrum router; that may be my wishful thinking. At the worst, it is just as fast as the Spectrum router, which is plenty fast for me. This router has good range and covers my whole house. I am very happy with my new router and highly recommend it.

So far, delivering what the industry and user reviews have promised: bandwidth, quality, easy set-up and all at a very friendly price. Nicely packaged and the set-up instruction guide is easy to follow. Significantly better coverage in our 2000 ft² condo than our previous Linksys router -- and now no dead zones. The only glitch so far was getting my external USB NAS drive to be properly recognized and all the files accessible thru the router (which had been accessible just fine on my previous Linksys router). A couple days back-and-forth with helpful folks inside the TP-Link Community got the Windows 11 SMB settings sorted and we are now "good to go".

This router works great. Easy setup took me less than 10min to have everything set up and running managing the router is not complicated. Everything is straight forward. The range is decent. You can have it running Wi-Fi 6 or you can set it up with dual band .

This was the fastest router I've ever set up. I've also had no issues with the app.

Easy setup right out of the box. Strong security features. No signal drops in more than six months of operation. Easily services 2500+ sq. ft. ranch and 2 acres of yard. Outstanding wi-fi router for the money. I would highly recommend this router to my friends and family.!

This was a very easy process to set up and a great device. I recommend that you use the mobile app to set up the device. My internet speed has never been better than before I got the router. I have issues with connectivity in rooms far from my modem, to the point that I was using a wifi extender in one room. I got this router, and I no longer have to do that. I get double the speed that I did without this router. This router is very sturdy.

Writing mostly to praise the customer support on this device. (The device is great, no complaints). I had issues when attempting to set up the VPN Client feature. This feature is awesome, it allows you to configure the router to connect to a VPN of your choosing by uploading a .ovpn file. Then, you can arbitrarily assign devices to use that VPN. This allows you to immediately protect any assigned device through the VPN without having to individually download VPN clients to each device. So, very handy. Only problem is it wasn't working. I contacted customer support. Each contact with customer support was less around 12 hours response. They asked for some additional information, escalated the issue, and in less than a week I had a custom firmware update for my router that fixed the whole issue. I have never seen that type of support for a device. Amazing. I imagine eventually the firmware fix will be rolled out to everyone, but the fact they pushed out a fix that quickly gives confidence that this device will only get better and better as they continue to support it. TP-Link, if you're listening, think it'd be awesome if you could load multiple VPN profiles (you already allow uploading 6) BUT then having multiple configs active at the same time and allowing assignment of devices to whichever VPN. Currently you are only allowed to have one active VPN and all assigned devices must use the same VPN (if they use the VPN at all...) In any case, great router, great support!

At this price point it is an impressive device. OpenVPN options both ans server and client were easy to set up and worked well. I’ve moved on to a different product as ultimately the stability of the WiFi connectivity was disappointing and required reboots regularly throughout the week to regain connectivity. Wired connections were always rock solid.

El producto llego bien en su empaque y con todos sus accesorios. Facil gestion y administracion. Trae varias opciones para conectar tus dispositivos. 1. Para conectar tus equipos Laptop, Celular. 2. Para conectar equipos IoT como son Focos, apagadores, sensores aquellos que aun usan banda 2.4Ghz. 3. Para invitados. Por ahora todos mis equipos funcionan correctamente sin desconexión. La velocidad mejora considerablemente y alcance, viniendo de un Router HW.5200. Puedes conectar un disco para funcion como NAS.

I switched over to a new router as my old one was overheating and not reaching my full speed through the ISP. this router allows everyone in the house to connect their devices and it doesn't slow down at all. A good buy.

j`utilise ce routeur pour utilisation domestique présentement il fait bien le travail j`ai 2 tv box iptv et 1PC qui fonctionne simultanément et il me fourni le 5G sur les 3 appareils avec une connexion 100Msbs en réseau et environ 110 Msbs en Wifi plus la téléphonie IP pour 70$ il fait bien le travail ça fait seulement 30 jours que je l`ai reçu et il va bien j`ai fait 1 redémarrage depuis 30 jours pour un léger bug mon FAI fourni les même routeurs et semble dire que c`est un bon routeur il est facile à configuré sur un PC car ont peut lui émettre plus de fonctions avec une belle interface bien détaillé. Avec l`APP. il y a moins de possibilité pour la configuration avec sa fonction MU-MIMO il choisi selon la distance ( fonction intelligente) si il donne du 5G ou du 2.4G mais il y a une possibilité de lui accrédité la fréquence que l`ont veut en ce servant de la fonction invité si l`on veut absolument une fréquence pour un appareil en particulier. Pour le moment il va bien j`ai hâte de voir la durabilité de ce routeur. Pour ce qui est des antennes il mesure environ 10 PO pour une meilleur réception pour le moment TP-LINK est mon préféré.
