you can just about power wash anything, but realize that typical minimum pressure of 1700-1800lbs will literally tear at your wood. Unless you can have fine hand/eye control, I wouldn't do this. Instead, why not lighten by high grit sanding in particularly dark areas, and then lightly brush on a diluted Sikens mixture, but do this quickly with a light small brush.
