What is the size of the largest piece of bread? I want to get some paper to wrap them like at the sandwich shop. Thank you.

There are two types of bread. The regular sandwich bread is pretty close to a real slice of bread. About 4 inches top to bottom and 3 3/4 inches at the largest measurement from side to side. The hoagie roll is 6 inches top to bottom. My granddaughter loves this set. She is always taking my order for a sandwich, and I give her a hard time because she puts pickles on it. It’s become a fun game for us to play.

Has anyone tried the wood set? I'm not sure which is better for play, the felt or wood.

I have both the wood sandwich set and the felt. The felt is great for 2 year olds. I think both is great to have.

How long did this entertain your child?

I gave my granddaughter, now 3 years old, these felt food pieces at least a year ago. For months they were one of her favorite play items. She "made" and served a lot of food for mom, dad and grandma for the first few weeks. This remains a long-term favorite. Somehow, despite a lot of making of sandwiches, they remain appealing and clean. I recommend.

Are these machine Washable?

I would only handwash them in cold water and lay them flat to dry. Felt is a fragile fabric.
