This is a really nice, simple frame. I purchased it due to the fact it is nail free and staple free. It comes with these plastic pins that come in about a 8 pin section and it lays flat against the frame so you don't snag anything on it, especially your skin. I have set up the fabric onto the frame - it is a little tricky to get it drum tight but not impossible. Very easy to assemble even without the instructions. Just do yourself a favor and get a phillips head on a drill. Assembly will go much faster.

The pre drilled holes didn't really help much besides knowing where to go. And there werent any pre drilled holes for the brackets which made it real though to install. It's pretty decent but I'm worrying about those extended arms since the wood is already pre-jointed together, on top of having the bracket.

I am new to tufting and have a gun but did not have a frame. this one worked great and it was a decent price.

I generally avoid pre-made tufting frames because they can be built so easily but I was tempted by the nail free design. The frame comes disassembled but included the necessary hardware and instructions to assemble. The wood is ok, though I wood have preferred slightly thicker wood for longevity. It is also on the smaller side for a tufting frame. I did not like the "nail free" alternative though. I will admit that this is going to be 100% personal taste but I felt like the teeth tore through the fabric rather than poked through a hole. Overall, it is easy to assemble, it works and is of ok quality. The tension choice is gimmicky and it is small enough that you will almost certainly have to immediately upgrade.

The assembly was very easy with the instructions being fairly clear (more later). I am however, a little concerned about the quality as the wood split on my top bar when I was assembling it.The included tufting cloth was a welcome addition, as were the extra screw of each type and the 2 extra nail strips.The instructions for setting the frame up to begin tufting were mostly clear, however, they accidentally called both sides the left side.

It's not the sturdiest but is perfect for a beginner! Easy to set up.

You need a frame to use your rug making electric gun, follow the instructions and have fun, give it time and patience making your rug, there is a learning curve to it.
